Somehow though his distorted interpretations of the scriptures, he believed he was serving Jesus. One does not have to be a Christian to see the faulty reasoning Hill used, nor does one have to be a genius to realize that he hurt the credibility of the pro-life move­ ment a thousand times more than he helped it. But for some reason, the mainstream press felt a need to editorialize about why Hill's actions are. wrong and how murdering doctors who perform abortions directly • conflicts with true pro-life views. Obviously. With the exception of a few nuts, everyone from arch-conservative Catholics to ultra-liberal atheists have condemned Hill.
