Valerie comes to the City of Greensboro from the North Carolina Department of Commerce where she, most recently, was the Senior Grants Management Representative. During her tenure at NCDC, she held the positions of Community Development Financial Consultant and Sr. Research and Innovation Analyst. She has 25+ years of experience in multiple arenas of community economic development which include: housing development, special project management, strategic planning, grant writing, program administration, product development and industry training and consulting. Her specialties include: entrepreneurial support, Valerie . Moore, Senior Planner program development, public policy, program administration, Housing Services Division government grants management, affordable housing financing, real estate financing, strategic planning, and grant writing and

management.

As the senior planner, she is responsible for reviewing and managing development financing of single and multi-family affordable housing projects, research and data analysis for housing program needs, making public presentations, and working collaboratively with program partners, construction management and housing development finance.

Valerie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Studies and Planning from Virginia Commonwealth

The Greensboro Housing Coalition hosted the 2016 Housing Summit held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at George Event Center in Greensboro. The theme of the Summit was “Restoring Hope, Homes and Communities.”
