NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF ARTICLE 4 DIRECTION

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (GENERAL PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT) () ORDER 2015, as amended (“the GPDO”)

Notice of confirmation of Direction under article 4(1) of the GPDO

BRISTOL CITY COUNCIL GIVES NOTICE to owners and occupiers of the land described in the First Schedule to this Notice ("the Land") that the Council have confirmed a Direction under article 4(1) of the GPDO.

The Direction relates to development of the type specified in the Second Schedule to this Notice within the area described in the Third Schedule to this Notice.

The Direction was made by the Council on 28 June 2019 and confirmed on 17 March 2020 and comes into effect in relation to the Land on 29 June 2020.

The effect of the Direction is that permission granted by article 3 of the GPDO shall not apply to development of the type specified in the Second Schedule to this Notice and that such development shall not be carried out on the Land unless planning permission is granted by the Council on an application made to them.

A copy of the Direction and of the map defining the area of land covered by it may be seen at the offices of the Council at City Hall, College Green, Bristol during normal office hours. Copies of the Direction and map may be brought there at a price of 30p. Copies of the Direction and map may be sent by second class post on receipt of a written request at a price of £6 to cover the Council’s administrative costs.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Land in the wards of Horfield, , Redland, and Bishopston and Down in the City of Bristol outlined in red on the map annexed to the Direction

SECOND SCHEDULE

Development consisting of a change of the use of a building to a use falling within Class C4 (houses in multiple occupation) of the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 from a use falling within Class C3 (dwellinghouse) of that Schedule being development comprised within Class L of Part 3 of Schedule 2 to the said GPDO and not being development comprised within any other Class.

Land in the wards of Horfield, Lockleaze, Redland, and Bishopston and Ashley Down in the City of Bristol outlined in red on the map annexed to the Direction
