CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all MINI-ONE DAY EVENT officials and stewards. Open to Members and Non Pony Club Members 3. All non Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Fitzwilliam Branch of The Event designed for genuine novice riders Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for Classes from 30cm up to 65cm for 14 years and under non Members and their insurance will not cover you. 4. COMPETITION RUN UNDER PONY CLUB EVENTING RULES 2020 10. The Judges decisions are final. Objections may only be made by owners or (Rule book can be downloaded -https://pcuk.org/officials/rulebooks/) riders and must be submitted to the Secretary in writing within 10 minutes of Paramedics in attendance the final scores being posted on completion of the class, accompanied by a Vet on Call deposit of £20. About the competition: Schedule of Classes An encouraging and low-key event designed for genuine novice riders as an CLASS 1 – VERY, VERY MINI introduction to eventing. Competitors to be 14 years and under on 1st January 2021. : Pony Club Walk & Trot Test 2013 Our aim is that all riders have a positive experience. Rules will follow those set out in The Pony Club 2020 Eventing Rules (https://pcuk.org/media/hs3jrvkc/eventing-2020-final.pdf) with : up to 30cm the following exceptions: Cross country: Rustic jumps up to 30cm ● Combinations can only compete in one class Class to be split: ● All competitors to present for each discipline at least 10 minutes before each section A - Lead rein ● In lead rein sections, lead ropes must be attached to the NOSEBAND or via a B - Assisted (not on lead rein) COUPLING only ● Assisted means you can be in the ring with the competitor to provide VERBAL guidance C - Unassisted and support. ● Numbers will not be provided. Please bring your own with a bib. CLASS 2 – VERY MINI Dressage phase Dressage: Pony Club Walk & Trot Test 2013 ● In lead rein sections the rider must be led with the leader at the shoulder of the pony Showjumping: up to 40cm ● Tests may be called in all classes, but "instructing" will be penalised by 2 marks in Classes 2 to 4. Cross country: up to 40cm ● Any normal riding bit is permitted for the dressage phase. Class to be split: Showjumping and cross country A - Lead rein ● In lead rein sections the rider must be led with the leader at the shoulder of the pony. B - Assisted The leader must go over the jump at the same time as the pony, not in front. C - Unassisted ● Riders in assisted sections of the competition may be verbally assisted by ONE person only. ● Riders in unassisted sections and Class 4 who receive outside assistance will be CLASS 3 - MINI penalised by 10 penalties on each occasion. Dressage: Pony Club Walk & Trot Test 2013 ● Fall of horse or rider, three refusals at the same fence or four refusals around the course Showjumping: up to 50cm will result in elimination. Any rider eliminated from one phase of the competition may continue to compete in the next phase, provided the paramedics are satisfied (in the Cross country: up to 50cm instance of a fall of rider). Class to be split: ● The Cross Country element will be within a roped off area in one field. A - Assisted ● The Cross Country section will not be timed but those deemed going too fast will be B - Unassisted asked to slow down. Prizes ● There will be no prizegiving on the day. Results will be published online by the end of the CLASS 4 - INTRODUCTION TO EVENTING event day. Dressage: Introduction to Dressage Test 2019 ● Rosettes awarded to 6th place. Showjumping: up to 65cm ● Rosette for highest place Fitzwilliam member in each class. Cross country: up to 60cm Tack – There will be an inspection of tack and turnout in the Collecting Ring, competitors are asked to allow themselves time before their class for this. THE COVID 19 CONDITIONS AND THE GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Our One Day Event will run in a format that complies with Government guidelines in place at the time of the competition to keep people safe and ensure that everyone complies with the Covid 19 conditions. Any variations to the Rules in place will be published when times are issued for the event.

ARRIVE COMPETE LEAVE

Ponies entered in more than one class, with different riders, must return to their lorry/trailer between classes.

Riders are be expected to ensure that they are ready to ride at their allocated times or risk being unable to take part.

Riders are expected to maintain social distancing when riding and once they have finished their class to leave the site as promptly as possible.

Spectators are limited at this event and competitors are requested to travel with a limited number of helpers who should remain at the lorry/trailer wherever possible.

Course walk will be on the day of the event, there will be times set for each class, please observe social distancing at all times.

No numbers will be given out. You must print your number at home and use your own bib. Limited number of bibs will be on sale £5 on the day.

All competitors will be met on arrival and track and trace details checked for themselves and any others travelling with them.

WARM UP ARENAS There will be two warm up arenas. Arena 1 – for flat warm up. At this arena a brief tack inspection to take place. Arena 2 – for jumping warm up – you need to be ready to go straight to XC course from this arena. Only riding competitors allowed in warm up arenas. Maximum 5 per arena at any one time. Official will put up jumps as required.

Riders and any supporters will be expected to socially distance.
