The Venue

Tulloch Castle Hotel is steeped in a deep and diverse history and is situated overlooking the beautiful market town of Dingwall . With the hotels fantastic panoramic views of The Cromarty Firth towards the Black Isle and Strathpeffer, it is the perfect location for any event. The Castle was probably built by the Norsemen, but all that remains of the original buildings are the south-west corner and the tower. It was first called Tulloch in 1507 from the Gaelic word “Tuich,” which means “hillock.” No other part of the Highlands has a more romantic history in respect of clan feuds and forays, as the land surrounding Tulloch Castle and the town of Dingwall. The Dungeon

The Dungeon is perfect for an intimate ceremony and/or your wedding breakfast. For those who wish something different and unique, this would be the right place to get married. Exclusive Use

Imagine inviting your guests to stay at your Castle for the weekend? Perhaps you would like to have a relaxing arrival night with a welcoming drinks reception and a hog roast or a barbeque on the front lawn for your guests to meet each other before the big day. Or an intimate rehearsal dinner for your bridal party, whilst your guests are checked in and shown to their rooms? The Hotel provides a fantastic opportunity to hire a Castle on an Exclusive use basis and all the possibilities are yours to explore… If you wish we can supply a light lunch prior to the ceremony such as various pates, dips and cheeses with a selection of breads or freshly made soup with assorted sandwiches and wraps – just an idea? We have found that two nights helps to create a relaxed atmosphere and people are talking about your wedding in the Castle for years to come. You would be required to book the hotel for a minimum of 2 nights and you would be responsible for filling all 22 bedrooms each night. You can either take all the bookings from your guests yourself or, to make it easier for you, we are happy to take the reservations direct at the hotel and keep you updated on their status. You would be charged for any no show guests or late cancellations, if the rooms are not refilled.

You would have full use of all the public lounge areas as well as the event rooms and have the choice of how you wish to use them. We do however reserve the right to allow non-resident guests into the Green Lady Bar area. Please enquire about prices as they change depending on the time of year .

The Bedrooms

Tulloch Castle Hotel has 22 en suite bedrooms, they comprise of the following: 1 Four-Poster Room with balcony 3 Four-Poster Rooms 1 Suite; consisting 1 Super king Room, 1 Twin Room which can be made into a super king room and 1 Single occupancy bed room; all with separate en-suites and with a large living and dining room 4 Family Rooms (which can accommodate 2 adults and up to 2 children on fold away beds) 3 Double Bed Rooms 6 Classic Twin or Double Bed Rooms 2 Cosy Double Bed Rooms Davidson Suite Oak Suite All Rooms have en-suite bathrooms, telephones, colour Freeview TV, hairdryers, iron & ironing boards; complimentary toiletries, tea & coffee making facilities.

The Bedrooms – Terms & Conditions

You are able to book an allocation of rooms and reserve for your guests in advance (subject to availability). All rooms in the allocation which have not been taken will be released 28 days prior to the wedding. Any rooms booked on the allocations which are no show rooms or cancellations within 48 hour notice will be charged to the wedding account. A reduced rate is available for these allocated rooms. The rates include Full Scottish Breakfast and VAT at the current rate. Prices for all other rooms after any allocation will depend on availability. During May to September we reserve the right to operate a minimum of 2 nights stay for Saturday weddings (additional dates may also require a minimum of 2 nights, please ask for details). Check-In time on the day of arrival is 3pm. We therefore suggest that guests who are travelling, or for guests who wish to check in early for an earlier wedding, may prefer to stay for two nights as we cannot guarantee that an early check-In will be available. Check-Out time on the day of departure is 11am, a late check-out may be available for a small additional fee. Wedding dances must take a minimum of 5 bedrooms

Booking and Deposit

We are happy to hold a provisional booking for 14 days after which we will require a non-refundable reservation fee to secure the booking. This is based on the total cost of your wedding and is 10% or a minimum of £500.00. The deposit will then be subtracted of your final bill. Your contract will then follow and the booking is not 100% confirmed until the signed contact is returned.

Wedding Insurance We strongly recommend that you take out adequate wedding insurance to cover your event.

Terms and Conditions

The balance of your account is to be settled 14 days prior to the event . A final sundries invoice (if any ) must be settled on departure. Credit card details are required for any remaining balance and this will be used to settle the remaining balance on departure. In the event of cancelation the following charged will be made:- Cancellation of a confirmed booking – loss of deposit Please refer to our terms and conditions for full cancellation information Children are charged as follows 0-3 years – free of charge 4-12 year s – 50% off adult menu price or the separately priced children’s menu 12 years and over – Full adult price All prices in the brochure are inclusive of Vat The minimum numbers required to open the upstairs function bar is 40 adults. Should your numbers be bellow this but you would like the bar open we can do so at an extra cost of £150.00 for the evening. The function bar will only be opened once your evening reception has begun. Until then the Green Lady Bar will be open for your guests . If miniature bottles of alcohol are to be used as favours and additional total corkage fee of £2.00 per bottle will apply . All prices stated in this brochure are valid until December 2021 . However some prices changes may be beyond our control.
