• Multiple species of wide- ranging transboundary carnivores
• Critical spawning area for transboundary bull trout and genetic stronghold for westslope cutthroat trout BC-MT MOU
The MOU provides a framework for collaboration on:
• Environmental Protection • Climate Action • Renewable Energy
Signatories will work with US and Canada Federal, State, and Provincial and Tribal and First Nation partners A Demonstration Project for the Great Northern LCC
• Supporting an executive- level working group among DoI, DoA, State of MT, Canadian federal government, Tribes and First Nations, and the Province of B.C.
• Addressing portions of the MOU dealing with Land, Water, Fish, Wildlife, Invasive Species and Climate Change GNLCC Interjurisdictional Fisheries Group GNLCC Interjurisdictional Fisheries Group Next Steps
• Transboundary Flathead Workplan approved by Executive group May, 2012
• Added benchmarks of success/alignment across boundaries and strategies for institutionalization
• Implement at the management and field level
