On the Go’s FAIRFIELD HISTORY CLUB Biggest Loser Competition ANNUAL LUNCHEON... By the time you read this, On-The-Go Fitness will be two weeks into its annual Biggest Loser competition. The contest consists of three teams of participants battling against one another to win the title of Biggest Loser . Dur - ing the 10 weeks, contestants are given nutritional guid - ance, weekly team workouts, and the chance to melt away the pounds! Grand prizes will be given out to the top male and female losers at the end of the competition, as well as weekly prizes awarded to other top losers. Smithtown Bulls 12U Champions The Smithtown Bulls baseball team, who finished first in their divi - sion with an 11-4 record, capped off a terrific season with an exciting 8-7 victory over the Nesconset Panthers in the championship game on Au - gust 6, 2009. Bulls 10 U Team Wins Championship After defeating the Nesconset Warriors 17-5 in the first round Playoffs, the Smithtown Bulls 10 U baseball team capped off an excit - ing season by defeating the Oak - dale Indians in a best of three championship series. After splitting the first two games, both teams squared off in a winner take all deciding game. The Bulls jumped ahead in an 8-2 lead but things quickly changed and they entered the final inning trail - ing the Indians by 9 runs. On the third day of the trip they climbed Algonquin Peak, the second highest mountain in the state at 5,114 feet. Some of the Scouts also climbed nearby Iro - quois and Wright Peaks where they viewed the wreckage of an air force jet that crashed into the mountain back in the 1960’s. This is the fourth year that Troop 301 has visited the Adirondack High Peaks climbing many moun - tains that are well over 4,000 feet in elevation.
