Government Defeat in Lords on Bus Services Bill [HL] Wednesday 12/10/2016

On 12/10/2016 the government had a defeat in the on an amendment to the Bus Services Bill [HL]: To allow all categories of local authorities other than combined mayoral authorities to opt for franchising schemes for buses without seeking permission from the Secretary of State, as the bill currently provides.
