Classroom Management Tips for ICT 1. When you need the students’ attention and they are distracted by the computers, the keyboard, and the mouse, make them put their hands on their heads or make them sit on their hands. 2. Have a time out chair in the classroom. If a student is not on task, not following directions, or not behaving have them sit away from the computer. After the timeout they have another change on the computer. 3. If many students are sharing a computer designate one ‘driver’. Only that student can press the keys or work the mouse. Each student gets turn to be the driver. If anyone other than the driver presses the keys, that student is in timeout. If they are all pressing keys close the laptop or take the keyboard and mouse away. Try again after the timeout.
