Research Scientist Molecular Biology to join our team in Schlieren, Switzerland.
Job Summary: The successful candidate will work in a creative, interactive and enabling environment contributing to the discovery and development of novel therapeutic antibodies. The researcher will push upstream and downstream antibody pipeline processes.
Job duties and responsibilities: › Implementation and improvement of molecular cloning methods › Protein expression and engineering of antigens and antibodies › Maintenance and establishment of protein expression systems › Biophysical characterization of proteins › Establishment of novel B-cell antibody discovery pipelines › Ensure best practices of research, data management and archiving › Work collaboratively to ensure project delivery
Profile: › PhD in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry or relevant field (MSc with professional experience in the antibody field will also be considered) › Expertise in molecular cloning methods, protein expression (eukaryotic and prokaryotic) and purification approaches (benchtop and FPLC systems) › Experienced in protein engineering and protein characterization (HPLC, MS, SPR/BLI, ELISA, DSF, DLS, SDS-PAGE) › Knowledge in antibody repertoire analysis and antibody engineering (bi- and multi- specific formats, Fc engineering) is a plus › Independent, self-starting, problem-solving personality › Integrating team player › Enthusiastic, with a rigorous research ethic
