MCA to form special team to hold dialogues with members nationwide Malaysian Insider June 20, 2013

A specially set up MCA Team will hold closed door dialogues with MCA members throughout the country to carry out a transformation agenda aimed at restructuring the party's road map.

MCA deputy president Datuk Seri said following the poor results during the 13th General Election (GE13), there is a need for the Special Team to go to the ground and listen to the views of members in every state.

"Through the dialogue, party leaders can also interact with members and gather data and feedback on the acceptance of the party by members so that it will ease the process of our restructure.

"We will divide the dialogue sessions into several categories to achieve better and effective results. Various issues will be discussed, including the restructure of the party, the direction of the party after the GE13, the acceptance by the Chinese community and MCA's role as a component party in the ," told reporters at Wisma MCA, today.

Liow who heads the Special Team said he would rope a number of leaders to assist him in carrying the task, reported Sin Chew Jit Poh.

"Among them are MCA Youth chief Datuk , Women's chief Datuk Yu Chok Tow, MCA Supreme Council member Datuk Hou Kok Chung and Professional Muda MCA bureau chief Datuk ," he said.

Liow said two dialogue sessions held in Selangor and Federal Territory on June 17, had received tremendous response. He added that apart from attending the dialogue sessions, members can also give their gives and opinion through email: [email protected].

Meanwhile, Liow refused to comment on news that he would be contesting the post of president. - June 20, 2013.
