Fall semester Metro U-Pass is $95 — good from Aug. 12, 2019 - Jan. 19, 2020.

The Universal College Student Transit Pass (U-Pass) program upgrades your existing CSUN student ID to a transit pass.

To qualify for the Metro U-Pass, you must be an enrolled undergraduate carrying six or more units, or an enrolled graduate student carrying three or more units.

Once you have purchased a Metro U-Pass, a sticker featuring smart-chip technology will be placed on your CSUN student ID. It’s good for unlimited rides on all Metro rail and bus, Culver CityBus, GTrans, LADOT-DASH, , , , Norwalk Transit, and Santa Monica . Your Metro U-Pass works just like a TAP card. Just tap the target each time you board a bus or train. Load Stored Value to ride the other 25 transit systems in LA County that accept TAP cards. For the full list of transit systems, visit taptogo.net. To purchase your Metro U-Pass Online:

1. Login to myNorthridge portal; then select the Financial Matters tab. 2. On the Financial Obligations pagelet, select Purchase Metro U-Pass. 3. Select New Metro U-Pass. 4. Complete your payment. 5. Select the link to complete the required registration survey on the payment confirmation page. 6. Bring proof of survey completion and your CSUN student ID to the Associated Students Ticket Office in the USU to pick up your sticker. To renew your Metro U-Pass:

1. Follow steps 1-2 above. 2. Select Renew Existing Metro U-Pass and enter your U-Pass sticker number at the prompt. 3. Complete your payment. 4. The U-Pass will be remotely activated by Metro within three to four business days.

To purchase or renew immediately, go to the AS Ticket Office in the USU.
