CHINESE ( or Kongfu) SHOW IN ATLANTA

Martial Arts (Wushu or Kongfu) is a traditional in which becomes increasingly popular. It is highly valued, especially for the spirit of harmony and self-improvement which results among the practitioners, in addition to the health benefits.

Per invitation of the Ambassador of China to the United Nations, the General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Wushu Association is planning to send a martial arts group composed of 20 top athletes for a tour in the United States to promote world peace and to encourage cultural and sport exchange between China and the U.S.A.

Schedule and Highlights of the Tour are as follows: 1. Duration: August 11 to 20, 2011 2. The event title: Delegation Tour in the United States 3. The organizers: International Wushu Federation, the General Administration of Sport of China, the Chinese Olympic Committee, the Chinese Wushu Association, the United States Martial Arts Federation, the United Nations (U.N.) Department of Public Information, the Permanent Mission of China to the U.N., the Ministry of Culture of China and so on.  The supporters: the Embassy of China in the U.S.A., Consulate-General of China in Washington, D.C., the Consulate-General of China in New York, Consulate-General of China in Houston.  The co-organizers: The Association of Chinese Professionals in Atlanta, Emei Martial Arts School in the US, Sino-US experimental school.

4. Performances:  The first stop: Washington, D.C. (August 11-15, 2011) 2011 Martial Arts Night in Washington, D.C. (August 14)  The second stop: New York (August 16-18, 2011) 2011 U.N. Martial Arts Night (August 18 evening, at the General Assembly Hall)  The third stop: Atlanta (August 19-20) 2011 Martial Arts Night in Atlanta (August 19 evening)

The martial arts show: The show will be performed by the best Wushu athletes and hundreds of wushu amateurs from China and the U.S. The content is captivating, including the chic and beautiful Chang Quan (Quan: fist- ), the vigorous Nan Quan, the smooth Taichi, the exciting and (free sparring), and other magnificent collective performances. The event will showcase traditional and modern martial arts which will reflect the spirit of harmony and health, and enable attendees to feel the charm of Wushu and to appreciate .
