Data for Fusarium oxysporum

Fusarium oxysporum Schltdl. : Fr. 1824 (Ascomycetes, Hypocreales) = Fusarium angustum Sherb. 1915 Notes: The most frequently recorded Fusarium in soil. There are many synonyms, but the relating to this fungus is in flux. Numerous formae speciales have been recognized with many of them noted as etiological agents of vascular wilts. This is a species complex with dozens of species that need to be clearly defined (Leslie and Summerell 2006). Distribution: Cosmopolitan. Substrate: Common in soil. Recorded as a human pathogen. Disease Note: Blights, wilts, rots, damping off, etc.. Host: Multiple genera in multiple families. Supporting Literature: Abedi-Tizaki, M., and Zafari, D.M. 2014.
