702 GLENDALE INTERCHANGE MS SONIA HORNERY to move— That this House: (1) Notes that prior to the general election, Liberal candidates in the Hunter Region campaigned that a Liberal Government would commit $15 million to build stage one of the Glendale Interchange. (2) Notes the $15 million commitment is now contingent upon Federal Government funding. (3) Notes that, after eight months in office, the Government has not taken any action to build this transport hub.

717 INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS COMMISSION MS NOREEN HAY to move— That this House: (1) Condemns the Government on plans to change the Industrial Relations Commission. (2) Notes that the plans to streamline the Commission threaten the protection of private sector owner- drivers' wages and conditions. (3) Acknowledges that owner-drivers are vulnerable to exploitation, as they typically report to a single principal who has significant leverage over their livelihood. (4) Calls on the Government to maintain Chapter 6 of the Industrial Relations Act to ensure that owner-drivers retain their protections.

(2) Notes that during induction treatment, patients with leukaemia may have to stay within 30 minutes of the Newcastle Mater Hospital and that some patients may have to seek accommodation within 30 minutes of the Newcastle Mater Hospital if they live outside that distance. (3) Notes that many patients live further than 30 minutes away, but less than the 100 kilometre away, the distance required to claim the IPTAAS allowance. (4) Calls on the Minister to allow payment of the IPTAAS allowance for these patients on their doctor's instructions.

765 HUNTER EDUCATION DEPARTMENT PRESCHOOL FEES MS SONIA HORNERY to move— That this House: (1) Notes that fees at Hunter Education Department preschools will increase by as much as 400 per cent in 2012. (2) Notes that parents enrolling their children at Elermore Vale, Waratah and Cardiff South preschools will have to find the funds from already tight family budgets to pay the higher fees. (3) Notes that this increase is a big disincentive against educating Hunter children in their formative years.

(2) Notes that Solaris, a division of Asian Pulp and Paper, has built a new $20 million mill in Greystanes, in the Smithfield electorate. (3) Recognises the contribution Solaris has made to the generation of jobs in Western through their Greystanes paper mill. (4) Notes that Greenpeace, the World Wildlife Fund and GetUp! have campaigned to stop retailers using Solaris products claiming that the paper is stocked from illegal logging. (5) Notes that Solaris timber is certified by independent auditors and expresses disapproval of Greenpeace and the other organisations for their campaign against Solaris.

2433 MANNING VALLEY HOSPITAL SERVICES MR STEPHEN BROMHEAD to move— That this House: (1) Congratulates the Mayo Healthcare Group and Brett Goods, the Chief Executive Officer of Mayo Private Hospital, in Taree, on announcing that a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit will open in March 2013. (2) Congratulates Health Care Imaging Services to locate the MRI service in the Manning Valley at the Mayo Private Hospital. (3) Condemns the federal member for Lyne for trying to take credit for the MRI decision made by Mayo Healthcare. (4) Condemns the suddent interest of the federal member for Lyne in Mayo Healthcare Group's plans when it became evident that the MRI was to be located in the Manning Valley. (5) Condemns the federal member for Lyne for claiming that he had written to the member for Myall Lakes outlining the clinical case for the MRI service to be located at Manning Rural Referral Hospital when simply passing on a letter sent to him by a Taree doctor. (6) Notes that the federal member for Lyne refused to seek federal funding of about $8 million to enable the MRI service to be based at Manning Rural Referral Hospital. (7) Condemns the federal member for Lyne for trying to take credit for the more than $80 million dollars funding for the upgrade of Port Macquarie Hospital while ignoring the needs of Manning Rural Referral Hospital and its patients.

(3) Notes that Professor Peter Newman has advised against preferring road transport over rail. 2437 CHRONIC DISEASE DENTAL SCHEME MR STEPHEN BROMHEAD to move— That this House: (1) Condemns the Federal Government on its plans to stop the Chronic Disease Dental Scheme from the end of November 2012. (2) Notes that this scheme pays for just over $4,000 worth of dental treatment for people whose teeth have become so bad it is affecting their general health. (3) Notes that whilst the Chronic Disease Dental Scheme closes at the end of November 2012, the replacement scheme will not be operating until July 2014. (4) Notes that there is a concerted effort by academics, the dental association and groups such as the Australian Diabetes Council to prevent many poorer people who need dental treatment from falling between the two schemes. (5) Condemns the federal member for Lyne for voting with Federal Government to close the Chronic Disease Dental Scheme. (6) Condemns the federal member for Lyne for failing in his responsibilities to his poorest constituents who will bear the heaviest impacts of the closure of the Chronic Disease Dental Scheme. (7) Condemns the federal member for Lyne for his failure to take note of the particular impact on the indigenous communities with the closure of the scheme and the 19 month gap until the replacement scheme.

(3) Calls on the Minister for Police and Emergency Services and Minister for the Hunter to reconsider his decision due to the risk to the safety of the community.

2439 MANNING RIVER AND WALLIS LAKE DREDGING MR STEPHEN BROMHEAD to move— That this House: (1) Notes that dredging of and from the Farquar Inlet at the mouth of the Manning River near Old Bar has provided a much needed boost to local residents, businesses and to bird watchers who can now see birds nesting in safety on the newly created sand islands. (2) Notes that the dredging of sand from the estuary areas of Wallis Lake near Forster-Tuncurry is removing sand from around the valuable oyster leases in the area and providing a safer boating environment for recreational boating and fishing. (3) Commends the Government on undertaking this vital work to revitalise these areas and for fulfilling its election commitments to the dredging. (4) Condemns the former Government for not taking any action to assist people and businesses affected by the influx of sand that had built up for more than a decade before the dredging work commenced.

2440 SMOKING IN OUTDOOR DINING AREAS MS TANIA MIHAILUK to move— That this House: (1) Notes that the Government does not have plans to increase the number of Authorised Public Health Inspectors in New South Wales. (2) Notes that all inspections by Authorised Public Health Inspectors of alleged breaches of the Tobacco Legislation Act 2012 will only be on a complaints based monitoring system. (3) Notes that the Government's legislation will not prohibit smoking in outdoor dining areas until 2015. (4) Condemns the Government for failing to take action to reduce the harmful impact of smoking in outdoor dining area, playgrounds and sporting fields.
