Cast Bios

EMILY KINNEY (Laurel) – Emily Kinney can currently be seen on Steven Soderbergh’s acclaimed series “The Knick” opposite Clive Owen. She last appeared in a recurring role opposite Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan in Showtime’s “” and as a series regular on AMC’s hit “The Walking Dead.” Kinney has also guest starred on shows such as “Forever,” “” and “The Following.” On the big screen shes appeared in Universal’s “It’s Complicated,” directed by Nancy Meyers, and in the independent film “Concussion,” directed by Stacie Passon.

Upon her arrival in New York, Kinney immediately made her Off-Broadway debut in “Iphigenia 2.0” at the Signature Theatre, directed by Tina Landau. On Broadway, Kinney was seen as Anna in the Tony Award-winning Production of “Spring Awakening” and starred opposite Estelle Parsons as Jean Fordham in the First National Tour of “August: Osage County.” Kinney is also a singer/songwriter whose debut full-length album “This Is War” was released this past October and is available on Spotify and iTunes.

JOHN REARDON (Danny Holland) – John Reardon has accomplished what most actors only dream of, a dynamic and extensive resume of coveted roles in film and television. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Reardon began his time in the spotlight as an all-star football player at Mount Allison University. With his classic good looks and athletic build it wasnʼt long before Hollywood took notice.

Reardonʼs first break came in 2001 when he was cast in an episode of the Showtime series “The Chris Isaak Show.” A slew of recurring roles followed as he was cast on the FOX Family Channel series “Edgemont,” FOXʼs “Tru Calling,” SyFyʼs “Eureka,” Showtimeʼs “The L Word,” CWʼs “Hellcats” and leads in the hit miniseries “Merlinʼs Apprentice” as well as “Son of the Dragon,” which filmed in China.

Reardon became a fan favorite with his supporting roles in the Wayansʼ brothers hit film “White Chicks” and slasher comedy “Scary Movie 4.” He also made his mark in the film world with a role in the blockbuster film “Tron: Legacy” with Jeff Bridges and Olivia Wilde.

Reardon played the role of Blake Laviolette for the three seasons of “Arctic Air” on CBC. Set in Yellowknife, the series portrays renegade bush pilots at work and play in Canada’s north. He also appeared in three seasons of the Showcase sci-fi thriller series “Continuum” in his recurring role of Greg Cameron.

With classical training at RADA, Reardon performed in a number of plays on their mainstage.

He now splits his time between Vancouver and Los Angeles.

JOE THEISMANN (Owen Holland) – Joe Theismann is an entrepreneur and the former star quarterback for the Washington Redskins. He spent the last two decades working for ESPN on their NFL broadcast and the NFL Network.

A 1971 graduate of University of Notre Dame, Theismann received All-American honors and led the Fighting Irish to consecutive Cotton Bowls and was runner-up to Jim Plunkett in the Heismann Trophy balloting. In 2003, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

After turning down offers from the Minnesota Twins and Miami Dolphins, Theismann began his pro career in the Canadian Football League, spending three years with the Toronto Argonauts before joining the Redskins in 1974. From the humble beginnings as a punt returner to Super Bowl Champion, Theismann has experienced many of the challenges we all face in our constant quest to find success, by overcoming adversity.

As a 12 year NFL veteran, Theismann played in 163 consecutive games from 1974 to 1985 and holds the Redskin record for passing yards, completions and attempts. He was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and led the Redskins to a 27-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XVII.

In 1982, Theismann was elected the NFL’s Man of the Year for his community service and dedication to the health and welfare of children. In 1983, he won the league’s MVP award. Then, in 1985, his career was abruptly cut short when his leg was shattered in a game against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.

Today, Theismann oversees a popular Washington, DC restaurant that bears his name. Staying true to his concern for children, he is a member on the Sports Advisory Board of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
