Control Centre Space Port Kourou. The CDC (Operation Control Centre) is the main control system to command the all campaign pre-launch, launch, mission and post-mission operations. The CDC is the system to which converges, at the time of a launch chronology, all the information from the sites, the state of the launcher, of its payload and of all the means responsible for the flight pursuit. It co-ordinates the launching campaign and the different launcher flight phases until the orbit insertion of the satellites. It’s responsible for the chronological handling of the whole information (localisation, Telemetry, flight safety, satellites, scheduling…).

Ariane-5 Control & Command System. The CCS is one of the 2 command and control systems of the ELA3 (Ariane5 Launching Site and Firing Pad). The system objective is to centralize, monitor and control all the ground operations related to ARIANE-5 preparation assembling and launching. Its main mission is to set up the control and surveillance of the permanent facilities of the ELA3, contributing to the staff and site’s installations security. The CCS runs 24 hours per day and 365 days per year. The system processes 10.000 digital and analogic information at the rate of 0.5 second.

Trajectory Tracking & Flight Safety Subsystem. This system is responsible for the pursuit of launchers during the first phase of the mission. It also provides the control and supervision of the flight information safety all along the mission. The software combines the most demanding criteria respectively to ground spatial systems. Its functions are the following: Before the flight: • Prepares and provides the designation data to the pursuit and remote commanding means. • Provides data to the flight information backup facilities in order to analyse the trajectory during the various phases of the mission. During the flight: • Calculates and displays in real time the launcher trajectory in its propulsion phase. Determines, displays and stores the deciding factors, necessary for the flight information backup. • Provides the localisation and trajectory information to the non-backup dedicated users (trajectory restitution, objective’s designation using pursuit and remote commanding means, inertial stations validation). After the flight: • Restores and provides a synthesised trajectory, provides the localisation raw measures and an orbit insertion diagnosis. Launcher Telemetry Exploitation and Centralization System (SCET-M) SCET-M is the Launcher Telemetry Exploitation and Centralisation System at the Guiana Spaceport. The telemetry signal sent from a Launcher contains vital information about its status during its flight. The main functions of the SCET system are: • Receiving and selecting the telemetry from the remote tracking stations around the globe. • Displaying the main rocket parameters on 10 Operator Workstations in order to control the operating status of the rocket and assuring population safety. • Providing selected parameters from the telemetry to other systems at the CSG (SLT and COR) and the Toulouse Space Centre (Centre d’Opération Réseau) • Displaying information and printing in real time • Providing a folder containing the main parameters of the flight when it is over (Compte Rendu Après Lancement). In addition, the SCET system can be used to simulate a rocket launch in order to test the Spaceport operational systems and to train operators. It can also be used to perform detailed analysis of the telemetry received from the rocket after the launch. www.gtd.eu GTD FIELDS OF HEAD SPACE CAPABILITIES ACTION REFERENCES HISTORY QUALITY OFFICES
