ENGAGEMENT NETWORK FREELANCER

Manchester’s Engagement Network is an informal network of Engagement Leads across the city’s cultural organisations that share best practice and collaborate on strategic priorities such as activity mapping and diversification of the sector’s workforce. The network is currently looking to engage a freelancer to provide administrative, fundraising and project management assistance to the network. This freelance contract will be managed by International Festival and will support the activity of the wider network. The Freelancer will help build a strong foundation for the long-term development and sustainability for the group including coordinating the monthly meetings and quarterly GM events, managing the mapping database and applying for funding.

The Network is looking for a freelancer with excellent administration skills and experience of delivering successful projects on time and within budget. They will be expected to have a strong eye for detail, a high level of accuracy and be an excellent communicator with an ability to co- ordinate a diverse network of partners. A passion and interest in arts participation and education is desirable but not essential.

Deliverables

• To co-ordinate and attend monthly and quarterly GM meetings, set agendas (in collaboration with Network Chair) and draft and distribute meeting minutes

• To coordinate delivery of the activity mapping platform including collation and entry of participant data

• To research and prepare fundraising applications for development of the Engagement Network

• To communicate across all interested parties and stakeholders including , Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Cultural Leaders Group and Manchester Cultural Education Partnership

• To advise on allocation of financial resources to ensure successful delivery of this network

Terms

This role is offered on a freelance contract reporting to MIF’s Creative Engagement Director. The contract is for 6 months initially (with potential of extension subject to successful fundraising).

The fee for the contract is £2700.
