ITINERARY

Day 1: Flight arriving at Lima Airport (Flight not included) Upon your arrival at Lima Airport, you will be transferred to Hotel. Check‐in at the hotel and accommodation in your room. Overnight in Lima.

Day 2: Lima city tour Breakfast at the hotel. We will start the tour taking you through Lima in its 3 historical periods: Pre‐hispanic, Colonial and Modern. We will first show you a panoramic view of “La ”, and then you will visit the impressive Historical Downtown of Lima: Its palaces, mansions, churches and squares, ending with a visit to the residential district of San Isidro and an unforgettable view of the Pacific Ocean from the district of Miraflores. This tour includes the admission to the Monumental Complex of San Francisco and its Catacombs.

After lunch, we will continue with a guided visit to the Gold Museum, to meet the most famous collection of gold in Perú. An important private collection of gold pieces from various pre‐Columbian cultures some of which are over 2000 years old." Overnight in Lima.

Day 3: Lima excursión to citadel of Pachacamac Breakfast at the hotel. We will begin our visit with a guided tour through the splendid Citadel of Pachacamac, The Sanctuary of God Pachacamac, Temple of the Sun, the Temple of Pachacamac and the Acllahuasi or Palace of the Virgins of the Sun. A unique archeological and mystical Experience. We will continue our visit to a local restaurant in Pachacamac, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch. Also, you will appreciate a Peruvian Paso Horse exhibition. The show includes lunch." Overnight in Lima.

Day 4: Lima ‐ Cusco Breakfast at the hotel. At indicated time, we will pick you up to the hotel and transfer to airport for the flight to Cusco. Upon arrival at Cusco Airport, you will be transferred to Hotel. Check‐in at the hotel and accommodation. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 5: Cusco ‐ Pisaq ‐ Sacred valley / Urubamba ‐ Ollantaytambo ‐ Aguas Calientes Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour will begin in the Archaeological Park of Pisaq where we can see samples of the water engineering of the and the extensive cultivation platforms, then we will not move to its colorful artisan fair, in which there is still the trick among the inhabitants.

Sacred Valley: At noon we will arrive in the city of Urubamba to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch on the banks of the magical Wilcamayu River, better known as Vilcanota. Then we will head to the Inca town and fortress of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the north of the Sacred Valley of the Incas from possible invasions by the inhabitants of the jungle. We will be able to walk through its picturesque streets and feel the Inca energy, since this is the only Inca town that never stopped being populated. After the visit, you will take the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon your arrival, you will walk until the hotel for overnight. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Day 6: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, we will go until the bus stop. There, you will take the bus to Machu Picchu, along the famous Hiram Bingham road, after a 30‐ minute climb we will be able to see one of the Wonders of the World. Once in Machu Picchu , we will start the guided excursion visiting the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the royal rooms, the Temple of the Three

Windows and the cemeteries, the tour lasts approximately two hours. Then, we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon we will take the train back to the city of Cusco." Overnight in Cusco.

Day 7: Cusco ‐ La Paz ‐ City tour Breakfast at the hotel. At indicated time, we will pick you up to the hotel and transfer to airport for the flight to La Paz via Lima. At your arrival to La Paz, we will be waiting for you at the airport to welcome you and take you to your hotel. (early check‐in not included). "At 14:00 we will pick you up from your hotel to start the city tour, it begins at the “Witches market” where you will find traditional remedies and witchcrafts to offer to “Pachamama” (Mother Earth). We continue visiting the exteriors of the San Francisco Basilica, the most representative religious temple of the Baroque‐Mestizo style in Bolivia and then we address ourselves to Murillo Square, in its surroundings there are: the Presidential Palace, the headquarters of the Congress of the Republic and the Cathedral, later we will visit the Jaen Street, a small beautiful patrimonial street which is a reflex of the colonial past of the city. Our next stop is very close to the sky, in the highest urban cable car of the world, we will have the chance to know the city from a whole new perspective and enjoy the wonderful city landscapes. Finally, we go to the south part of the city to get to the Moon Valley, a natural area formed due to the erosion and clay composition of the soil, wind and rain have created a valley filled with stalagmites. Return to hotel." Overnight in La Paz.

Day 8: La Paz ‐ Titicaca Lake "At 07:30 we will pick you up from your hotel and we are ready to begin our trip to the Titicaca Lake, we will travel through the Altiplano (High Plateau). After a 2 hour trip we arrive to the narrower section of the lake: the Strait of Tiquina, we will cross it at a rudimentary local ferry along with local people and later we continue towards Copacabana trough the road, before arriving to our destination we will enjoy the view of Major (Huyñay Marca ‐ Perú y Bolivia) and Minor Lake (Chucuito‐ Bolivia). Arrival to the town Copacabana at 11:30, from its port we will get on board of a boat that will take us through the Titicaca Lake to the Sun Island, at its south part we will visit the Inca’s archaeological site of “Pilcocaina Palace” an ancient palace built exclusively for the Inca. Later we continue to Yumani, there we will visit “Escalinata Del Inca” (Inca’s stairs) which leads us to the “Fuente de las 3 aguas” (the Fountain of the 3 Watersheds), the tradition dictates that if you drink from its water you will have eternal life. You will have some time to take pictures and enjoy a breath‐taking view of the lake and the astonishing Royal Range of the Andes at the back‐ground, we will go back to

our boat to return to Copacabana and there we will make a quick visit to the town enriched by the combination of the Andean and the Christian points of view, we will visit the religious sanctuary in honor of Candelaria Madonna, an important pilgrimage site for Bolivians. Finally, we will walk by the town and its handicraft stores. Return to La Paz city, arrival to your hotel at 21:00 approximately." Overnight in La Paz.

Day 9: La Paz ‐ Tiawanaku "At 8:30 we will pick you up from your hotel and begin the tour across the immense Altiplano (High Plateau Ranges) enjoying the landscape characterized by Andean products fields and small houses made of mud bricks called “adobes”. Our destiny is the town of Tiwanaku, where we find the most important archaeological complex of the country. For a first approach to this impressive culture, we will visit the local museum as an introduction about Tiwanaku’s heritage. And then we go into our journey back to more than 3500 years ago, we will visit the archaeological site whose main attraction is the “Puerta del Sol” (Sun Gate) one of the most important archaeological pieces of the continent, a megalithic gateway carved from a single block of stone. We will also have the chance to visit the rest of the ruins of this enigmatic pre‐Incan culture in terms of architecture and iconography: the Temple of Kalasasaya, which is believed to be a ritual platform built using huge blocks of red sandstone, the “Templete Semi‐subterraneo” and the Akapana Pyramid, structures that make Tiwanaku one of the most popular places to visit in of Bolivia. Return to La Paz at 16:30." Overnight in La Paz.

Day 10: La Paz – Uyuni ‐ Colchani At the proper time, transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Uyuni. At your arrival to Uyuni’s airport we will be waiting to welcome you and take you to the Uyuni city center where you will have some free time to know the town and make some last‐ minute shopping. Uyuni Salt Flats "The tour begins at 10:30 approximately from a chosen point, first we will visit the Train Cemetery and the town of Colchani where you can learn more about Uyuni’s mining past and its artisanal salt production present, later we will enter to the amazing Uyuni Salt Flat, and arrive to the “Salt Hotel‐Museum”, the first of its kind that nowadays works only as a museum. On our way we will be able to see fantastic optic illusions, able to see in raining season (December‐ March), and also we will visit “Ojos de Agua” (Eyes of water), small salt eruptions which help us to explain the development of this huge salt lake. At noon, you will reach the “Incahuasi Island” in the middle of the Salt flat; there are extraordinary calcareous rocks, large populations of Cactus, local fauna and

spectacular 360 grades panoramic views of the Salt Flat from the summit. In the afternoon return towards Uyuni/Colchani to overnight.

Day 11: Colchani ‐ Siloli Minor Lagoons. Leaving the salt flat behind we will travel along the volcanoes range with their eternal snow going to Lípez, there we will find the Ollagüe Volcano that we will observe at the distance. Then we restart the trip to the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve, on our way we will appreciate the lagoons called “Joyas Altoandinas” (Jewels from the High lands): Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota and Honda where you will have the chance to observe three kinds of flamingos of the region: James, Andino and Chileno and also different kinds of local birds, later we get to the Siloli Desert where we will make some stops to take pictures of this magnificent desert landscapes, overnight at the desert in an exotic rustic hotel “in the middle of nowhere” Overnight in Siloli.

Day 12: Siloli ‐ Uyuni "This day we need to get up very early in order to start the tour at 06:30 approximately, our first activity is the visit to the Stone Tree, later we will get to the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve, arriving to the Geysers of “Sol de Mañana” smoky and noisy geysers, boiling mud stewpot where red and grey mud is boiling. Later we will enjoy a bath in the hot springs before we continue our trip in the reserve, on our way we will enjoy the panoramic view of the Dali Desert, there are columns of stones sculpted by the wind that resemble this famous painter work. After that, we will also appreciate the Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon), at the foot of Licancabur volcano. It’s time to take the road back, we will visit the Laguna Colorada (The Red Lagoon), an impressing water source, the algae and plankton give the lagoon brown or intense red colors, which make it beautiful. We continue our journey, in the afternoon we will take a walk around the Rocks Valley, giant volcanic rocks between 8 to 15 meters high. Our last stop is at San Cristóbal village which has been moved from its original site to the actual one for the needs of one the biggest mine in Bolivia." Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve. Arrival to Uyuni at 18:00 approximately and transfer to the airport to catch the flight back to La Paz and then to our final destination.
