After approximately 25 miles, just beyond Guildford, take A31 to Farnham/Aldershot/A331. The area is nestled between the South Downs National Park and Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. , approx 1 mile away, is a heathland of 922 acres, which is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to its abundant wildlife and plant life. The Common is home to two substantial lakes, Frensham Great Pond and Frensham Little Pond, which date from the middle ages. It is a superb area for walking, riding, sailing on the lakes and fishing on the River Wey. Local golf courses include; Hankley Common (in UK top 100), Liphook, Blackmoor, Hindhead and Farnham. The Berkshire (also in UK top 100), The Wisley, Milford, West Surrey and Petersfield clubs are also within approximately 30 minutes by car.
