2018 SEA PINES JUNIOR HERITAGE The – Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III Harbour Town Golf Links Hilton Head Island, South Carolina February 3-4

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

FORMAT: All play will be medal play under USGA rules and any local modifications. Eighteen holes will be played each day with single individual divisions for boys and girls. Due to some logistics, caddies are not permitted.

Tees for Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III: Love for males (approx. 6,800 yards) White for females (approx. 5,800 yards) Harbour Town Golf Links Heritage for males (approx. 6,800 yards) Sea Pines for females (approx. 5,800 yards)

All will be identified prior to practice rounds on Friday the 2nd and hole locations will be set as well. Scorecards will be provided for the practice rounds.

The schedule of play is as follows:

Friday, February 2nd: Practice Rounds Friday, February 2nd: Player check in and reception (mandatory) 6:00 pm-7:30pm (Parents are welcome to attend as well)Magnolia Room, Plantation Club Saturday, February 3rd First Round at Atlantic Dunes; 8:30-10:30 double Sunday, February 4th: Second Round at Harbour Town Golf Links; 8:30-10:30 double tee

Players must be available at the scoreboard on Sunday afternoon in case playoffs are necessary. Please make arrangements to be available (if needed)

PRIZES: Boys champion and place awards for 2nd, 3rd. Girl’s champion and place awards for 2nd, 3rd . In the event of a tie, only the championship will be played off in sudden death at starting holes determined by committee. For all other ties for place awards, duplicate awards will be given. Boys & Girls champion will receive a Crystal lighthouse and, if eligible, paid entry into the 2019 SEA PINES JUNIOR HERITAGE. Final results will be posted to AJGA, GolfWeek, NJGS, and all SC media. EXEMPTIONS -Boys and Girls Champions also receive exemptions into the following Amateur events: BOYS GIRLS Azalea Invitational Women’s Transnational Amateur Championship Palmetto Amateur Beth Daniel Junior Azalea Players Amateur Porter Cup Bobby Chapman Junior Invitational

REGISTRATION AND MANDATORY MEETING: Registration and meeting will be held on Friday evening, Friday from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Magnolia Room of the Plantation Club (Atlantic Dunes Clubhouse). Parents are welcome to attend as well.

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Practice rounds (walking) may be arranged up to 14 days in advance by contacting the Sea Pines Resort Activities Office at (843) 842-8484. Please identify yourself as a contestant. Practice rounds on Friday, February 2nd are included in entry fee.

Practice Round Rates other than Friday, February 2nd:

 Harbour Town Golf Links o Sunday – Wednesday $110.00 o Thursday – Saturday $130.00 in the AM o Thursday – Saturday $105.00 after 11AM o FORECADDIE: Juniors are not required to take a forecaddie when playing alone or with other juniors. If a parent joins them then they are required to take a forecaddie at the $30 per bag gratuity  Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III o Sunday-Wednesday $67.50 o Thursday-Saturday AM $85.00 o Thursday-Saturday after 11 AM $67.50

TRAVEL: The Player’s names will be posted at the main Sea Pines check in so that passes will be issued for entry into the gates. The tournament is located on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Air travel arrangements can be made with service through Savannah International Airport on US Airways, Delta, Continental, United Express, Northwest, and Air Tran. There is also a small airport on Hilton Head Island that accepts commuter flights on US Airways. Ground transportation can be arranged from Savannah International Airport with rental cars or Low Country Adventures (843) 681-8212

Reminder: anyone making plane reservations, please take into account possible weather delays and maybe even a playoff when making your departure plans. I recommend after 5:00 if leaving Hilton Head Island or 6:00 from Savannah, GA (approximately a one hour drive). Sundays tee times will be 8:30-10:30 double tees.

TOURNAMENT DIRECTIONS From Savannah International Airport to Sea Pines Resort

 From Savannah Airport follow signs for Interstate 95 North  Once in South Carolina, take Exit 8 (Hilton Head) off I-95N to route 278 East.  Once on route 278 East, it is approximately 15 miles on to island.  Once on the island, Route 278 splits into Business 278. Bear left onto Cross Island Parkway (direct route to south end of island, and a $1.25 toll) and continue until you reach the Sea Pines Circle. Sea Pines is the first right ff the circle, or Greenwood Drive. Follow signs to The Sea Pines Center Resort Welcome Center (located just before the main gate entrance).  At the Sea Pines Welcome Center, follow signs around building to Guest Passes to receive your pass to enter the Plantation.  For those of you, who are lodging in any Sea Pines Villas, please check in at the Welcome Center Front Desk. For those lodging at the Inn at Harbour Town and all others staying elsewhere, proceed to the Guest Passes window.

MEALS: Lunch will be provided both days at the course for all participants. Parents Hospitality will be at the Heritage House (#10 tee of Harbour Town) during play on Sunday. Snacks and drinks will be provided all day at both courses.
