Subsequently when the Kannur University was founded, the affiliation was shifted to the new University. The College, managed by the Catholic Diocese of Mananthavady, is included under Section 2(F) and 12 (B) of the UGC Act and is awarded Grade B++ (83.5%) by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in the year 2006. Now that it is going to be the fourth academic year after accreditation the planning and implementation of programmes are charted out in such a way that the college goes for NAAC re-accreditation next year.
