Colette Krogol and Matt Reeves have been making work collaboratively for over twelve years as the Artistic Directors of Orange Grove Dance, a multimedia dance company that creates visually athletic experiences through the lenses of dance, design, and film. They were 2019 Helen Hayes Award nominees for “Outstanding Choreography in a Play” (How to Catch a Star, The Kennedy Center). As Orange Grove Dance, they have been commissioned extensively nationally and internationally creating works for proscenium stages, underground tunnels, city streets, museums, black box theaters, and botanic gardens. By applying abstraction to the everyday, Colette and Matt create intense personal moments that feel altogether familiar and foreign at the same time.

Krogol and Reeves both hold MFAs in Dance from the University of Maryland and BFAs from the University of Florida. Though both originally hail from Florida, the company’s life has been spent in New York City and within the greater DC/Baltimore area.
