Educational School Trip to Hyderabad Classes 8 A B C 7TH -12TH Jan The trip to Hyderabad was very relevant and an excellent choice for an educational tour, as Hyderabad is a repository of cultural excellence. Hyderabad is the capital of Andhra Pradesh: a city which is vibrant, historic and colourful. One can explore the Sudha Cars Museum, Salar Jung, Golconda Fort, Snow World and Ramoji Film City. On the first day was the trip to the Salar Jung Museum. The Salarjung museum is a one man’s collection of paintings, clocks, porcelain and weapons. It has a total of 36 galleries spread over 4 wings. There are 38 galleries in 3 blocks: 1. The Indian Block-The Indian Block had collection of art, painting, sculptures, manuscripts etc from different states of India. 2. The Western Block-The Western Block had art, marble sculptures, furniture and jade from England, Ireland, France, Austria and Italy. 3. The Eastern Block-The Eastern Block had Persian carpets, Chinese vases and sculptures from countries like China, Japan, Middle East and Burma. There were collections of art of 18th and 19th century. The Ramoji Film City is the largest film studio in the world. Ramoji Film City, a tribute to the bewitching magic of cinema, is the dream destination for entertainment and relaxation. The visit to the Ramoji Film Studio was a very relaxing outing for the entire day as it provided a plethora of activities, shows and film sets to be viewed and enjoyed .Spread over idyllic 2,500 acres and studded with hills, woods, lakes and striking architectural marvels, Ramoji Film City is one of Asia's fastest growing tourism destinations. The Golconda Fort is one of the most wonderful monuments, located 11 km. from Hyderabad, and the capital of Andhra Pradesh. The visit to the Golconda fort was spectacular; the Sound and Light show was very informative and brilliantly presented. The fort stands on an isolated granite hill. Three granite walls encircle the fort. There are eight gates in the outer wall. The unique feature of the fort is the deflection of sound. The fort has important monuments such as Diwan’s Palace, Jamay Masjid, Royal Palace, Baradari, Naya Quilla and Charminar. Golconda is famous in the world for its Kohinoor Diamond which weighs 106 carats. The trip to the Sudhcar museum The cars displayed at the museum were in all shapes and sizes and a sight to behold .The Sudha Cars Museum had many different types of cars, bikes, cycles, buses displayed which belonged to different eras and periods There was a football car, basketball car, brinjal car, golf car, joystick bike and many more. It was very interesting and fascinating experience. The Snow world was fantastic! The Snow world was a wonderland of sheer delight as all of us came down sledging down the white, snow covered slopes while temperatures soared outside. Our class trip was a mixture of fun as well as education, as we learned about the beautiful history of Hyderabad, and we got to see the amazing tourist attractions of this marvellous city also called the ‘city of pearls.’ Students’ Reflections “Our trip to Hyderabad was truly an enriching experience.
