1841 SINGLE-USE PLASTIC BAN MR to move— That this House: (1) Notes the plan by the Western Australian Government to phase out plastic plates, cutlery, stirrers, straws, produce bags, bunting, cotton buds, thick plastic bags, polystyrene food containers and packaging, microbeads and oxo-degradable plastics.

(2) Notes the Government cannot even achieve the simple task of banning single-use plastic bags, with New South Wales still the only state in Australia to not take any action.

(3) Demands the Government adopt a plan similar to Western Australia and phase out single-use plastic in New South Wales.

1842 REGIONAL JOBS CREATION FUND MR to move— That this House: (1) Acknowledges the Government's $100 million Regional Jobs Creation Fund will help existing businesses ramp up regional operations and assist businesses to relocate to regional New South Wales from interstate or overseas.

(2) Notes this unprecedented funding will put life back into country towns and incentivise workers and families to relocate to the bush or the coast.

(3) Notes this fund is expected to create up to 5,000 new direct jobs for the regions.

(3) Notes these cuts will leave workers thousands of dollars worse off over the next five years, yet the Premier awarded the NSW Police Commissioner an $87,000 pay rise.
