The Women of the Calabash integrated their music with the historical background of what they were presenting. The audience loved it and enthusiastically gave them two standing ovations - which brought on two encores.

Sponsored by the Women's Issues Organization and the Black Coalition, the Women of the Calabash presented music ranging from the rythm of the calabash itslf to their own deep breathing.
