The point guard tallied 19 points in the IAAM-A title game, including the last five to give the Cavaliers the 53-48 win over Set Keough (MD) . This multi- sport athlete is an unselfish player that rises to the occasion; the bigger the stage, the better she plays .

Road to NHSI

Archbishop Spalding is hot off a win in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of 2011 NHSI Maryland-A title game . The team features three seniors with over 1,000 career points and six players who all average between nine and eleven points per game, combining for a balance that is unlike any other team in the tournament . In addition to Morrison, the Cavaliers boast three other seniors who will play Division I basketball beginning next year: Brya Freeland (Lafayette), Shaquilla Curtis (American University), and Sherae Swinson (Binghamton) . 23

She’s the Crusader’s leader on the court and made the All-Tournament team at the Nike Tournament of Champions earlier this season . NHSI 2011 NHSI Road to NHSI

At #11 in the ESPN RISE FAB50, Riverdale Baptist heads into the NHSI as the highest ranked girls’ team in the FAB50 . The Crusaders played one of the toughest schedules in the country and ended the season 30-4, delivering wins over nationally ranked teams such as St . Johns (Washington, D .C .) . With four Division I commits on their roster, Riverdale Baptist handed Potter’s House Christian (FL) their only loss on the year and 27 won the OP Tip Off Tournament in December and the More Than Basketball tournament in January . Road to NHSI

Though they have the youngest roster in the NHSI tournament, Dr . Phillips comes to North Bethesda ranked #44 in the ESPN RISE FAB 50 . They’re stacked with freshmen and sophomores, but that hasn’t stopped the Panthers from claiming the FHSAA Class 6A state title, the Peach State Holiday Invitational championship, and the Florida 2011 NHSI Prospect’s Holiday Tournament throughout their 2010-11 season . The team is currently riding a 15-game win streak and, in addition to McCaskill, features freshman guard Taryn Griffey, the Panther’s leading scorer with 15 .1 points per game and the daughter of former major leaguer Ken Griffey Jr .
