Rebecca: Going Outside! Being stuck indoors is a terrible thing. With the cold and depressing months of Winter underway, the warm and welcoming rays of a sunny Summer day is a long way out. What I miss most about Spring is the ability to sit outside and enjoy the warmth. Working on homework or just plain old relaxing is so much better with the fresh air and the sounds of nature surrounding you. For me, being outside helps me feel more re- laxed and focused in comparison to the confined of the walls of a room and it is hard to enjoy the beauty of winter and sit outside for awhile when you can’t feel your fingers or toes. Above: Season 6 of “The 100” premieres April 30. Anna VanSeveren: “The 100” Season Six Below: “Sekiro” releases March 22. Among many things I’m looking forward to this Spring, the return of The CW’s “The 100” is at the top of my list. The new season starts on April 30. This show has been one of my favorites for a very long time and it features one of my all-time favorite fictional characters: Bellamy Blake. Avoiding spoilers, I will say that the finale of season five was my favorite finale of the series. The storyline can go in so many different directions, so I’m excited to see what the writers come up with. If you haven’t seen this show, I highly recommend it. It reminds me of a toned down version of “Game of Thrones,” and it’s on The CW, so, you know, it’s much more dramatic. The first five seasons are on , so there’s just enough time to binge-watch before the new season airs. “The 100” is one of those shows that’s incredibly addicting even though the first few episodes of season one are pretty cheesy. Sam: “Sekiro Shadows Die Twice” When From Software releases a game, it is an event. It has been three years since the fantastic finale to the “Dark Souls” tril- ogy and “Sekiro” promises to be something entirely new. From Software can really do no wrong in my eyes and the last time they departed from the “Souls” series, (with their game“Bloodborne”) it shocked everyone by being one of the best games ever made -- I am confident in saying that. Spring is packed with awesome new games like “Mortal Kombat 11,” “Resident Evil 2” and “Metro Exodus;” however, “Sekiro” is the game I just cannot wait to die over and over again in.

Greetings to you, the good people of St. Norbert College. It has been a long time since I have written an article and I’m sure you all have been waiting on the edge of your seat. Well, wait no longer, I am here to discuss my five musical wishes for 2019. 2018 was a spectacular year for music and that’s hard to live up to, but here are my personal wishes for the year. Enjoy:

1. Weekend Makes a Major Comeback “Modern of the City” is about to be six years old. This seems absolutely ridiculous, but Vampire Weekend has kept us all waiting to follow up one of the best albums of 2013. Announced just a few weeks ago, they have a double album coming later this year and I could not be more excited. I have complete faith in the band and just hope that it comes sooner than later. If they somehow outdo themselves, we could be in for one of the best albums of the decade.

2. Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul and Schoolboy Q Release albums While 2018 was a strong outing for most of TDE, there was little punch to the music released. Kendrick curated a solid soundtrack for the film “ Panther” for which he and SZA are now nominated for an Oscar (which is awesome), but I want concrete albums. Apparently Ab-Soul and Schoolboy both have their albums complete so we should be getting those by the end of the year, but we never know. Kendrick Lamar’s “Damn.” is only two years old, but it feels like it has been ages since he released an album. Maybe I’m being greedy, but I want to see a full body of work from Kendrick in 2019 as well as Ab-Soul & Q.

3. FKA Twigs Releases Some Music I don’t care if it is 30 seconds of FKA talking into a Motorola Razr; I want to hear something from her in 2019. The last music she released was her “M3LL155X” EP in 2015 which was only about 15 minutes long. Since then, we have heard absolutely nothing. I need something. We have absolutely no indication if she is even work- ing on anything, but her unique blend of dark R&B and electronic music is unlike anything else being done and we need to hear more.

4. Freddie Gibbs and Madlib Do It Again “Pinata” released five years ago and Freddie has been on a roll. He released two albums in 2018, but I just need to hear him rapping over Madlib beats. “Bandana” is the name of the follow-up and apparently it will be com- ing at some point in 2019. It would be almost impossible to top “Pinata,” but if anyone can do it, it’s these two. My expectations are through the roof for this project.

5. Something I Don’t See Coming This might be cheating, but I just want to be excited. Whether it is a surprise collab or a brand new artist shak- ing up their music scene. In the internet age, we could get an MF DOOM and Belle & Sebastian collaborative album tomorrow with no warning. I just want something that I could not have foreseen happening going into 2019. In 2018, I believe there were two flawless albums released (from Daughters and JPEGMAFIA respec- tively) and “Tha Carter V” actually released. Nothing brings me more joy in this world than music catching me completely off-guard so this is really all I want.

Right: My artistic imagining of a MF DOOM and Bell & Sebas- tian album cover. Please credit me when this is inevitably used. Wednesday, January 30, 2019 | Editor: Adriana Bink SPORTS sntimes.wordpress.com/sports | 14
