Senior Dues are $155.00 without Chromebook purchase (NOT purchasing the Chromebook) this includes Yearbook, Cap and Gown, Senior breakfast for student only.

Senior Dues are $185.00 with the purchase of Chromebook (buying the Chromebook), yearbook, cap and gown, and Senior breakfast for the student only.

Saturday, November 2 - WHHS will hold its first Coffeehouse tonight at the Kelly Music Center.

It begins at 7:00 pm and it is a $7.00 admission.

Please do not park in the Bus Lane or handicap areas after 2:00 pm. Buses are unable to pick up students if the areas are blocked. Please park in one of the spaces provided. Thank you for your cooperation.

Diving Team for the 2019-2020 Season. The meeting will take place in the West Cafeteria (11th/12th Grade Cafeteria).

There will be a meeting for parents/guardians of students who will try-out for the Haverford Swimming & Diving team for the 2019-2020 season on Monday, November 4th, at 6:30 PM in Room 126. The meeting will cover all information about the upcoming season including schedules, team rules, operations, etc.

Class of 2023 (Freshman)Interest Meeting

Attention Class of 2023 - that's you, Freshmen! Are you interested in running for Class Officer? If so, please plan to attend a short informational meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 6th at 2:30 in room 322. We will review the process for running for election. If you cannot make this meeting, you MUST see Mrs. B. Moore (in room 261) or Mrs. Heil (in room 322) prior to the end of the day on Wednesday.

Friday, November 8 - During the 4th block today we will be hosting a school-wide assembly to celebrate being recognized as a 2019 National Banner Unified Champion School by Special Olympics. As part of the assembly, we will be having teachers vs students Bocce match. We will need 8 teachers total (4 teachers on each team to make 2 teams) to play against our HHS Bocce team.

Activities

Art Club and Fashion Club meet Tuesdays 2:30 - 3:45 in rooms 120 & 122. This is an open studio, all are welcome. Lessons, project help, and materials are available. Mrs. Marshall & Ms. Talkin, sponsors

Writing Center -The Writing Center will be open in the Library after school every Wednesday from 2:30 to 3:30. If you need help with your writing, this is the place to receive assistance. Thank you!

Math Center - WIll open every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 - 3:30 in Room 337

Need help with Math? Need a place to get your math homework done, or a place to get some help with your math class? The Math Center is the place for you! Guitar Club - Do you play guitar, bass or ukulele? If so, then come see if Guitar Club is for you!

Amps and guitars are available for those without instruments. Guitar club will meet in room 226 on Wednesday's from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. See Mr. Althouse for more details.

New from transportation - Portal to track students school bus

The District is implementing the Edulog Parent Portal, a self-service app that allows you to track your child’s assigned transportation to and from their school to the bus stop. Track in real-time your child’s bus’s position as well as configuring notifications to alert you when your child’s bus is nearing pickup or drop-off.

The Edulog Parent Portal is now available to parents and students. Parents/Guardians can use the app to get started today! Your student's id number (5 digits - they use it for lunch) along with their date of birth is needed to register. You can download the app for both iPhone and Android models.

Delaware County Community College Dual Enrollment

What Is Dual Enrollment?

The College’s Dual Enrollment Program provides eligible high school students the opportunity to earn college credits while they’re still in high school at a fraction of the standard tuition rates. Interested high school students are invited to apply and participants are selected based on demonstrated academic ability and motivation. Accepted high school students can take a maximum of 21 credits at the Dual Enrollment discounted price.

Music Department

Marching Band Competition at Conestoga, November 2, 6:00-11:00

From the Nurse

All 11th-grade students are required by the State to turn in a completed medical exam form from your child’s doctor.

This is a reminder to have this completed or a plan to complete by the first day of school. Please turn all forms into the School Nurse.

All 12th-grade students are required to have proof of receiving the second meningitis vaccine upon entrance into 12th grade. This is a reminder to turn the proof of vaccination into the school nurse. All children must have vaccination by September 9th.

Athletics

Weight Room - Weight Room is open after school on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays after school until 4:00 each day. Girls Basketball There will be a meeting on Wednesday, November 6 at 2:30 pm for any student-athlete interested in participating in girls basketball for the upcoming winter season. The meeting will be held in the East Commons.

Boys Basketball Boys Basketball Tryout Information All players must have all completed forms in order to try out. Please make sure you have a PIAA physical form. If you played a fall sport you need the recertification page seven. All students can obtain the information on District Website. There are forms available in the main office as well. Dates for tryouts will be held on November 18th and 19th. Monday November 18th 4 pm to 7 pm Tuesday November 19th 6 pm to 9 pm

Freshman team tryouts will occur on Monday November 25th from 2:30-4:30 and Tuesday November 26th from 6:00-8:00 in Gym AB. All freshmen are encouraged to come on November 18th. Some freshman may be asked after November 19th to try out for the remainder of the week for the JV or Varsity teams. If you have been experiencing issues with the app, please follow the below steps.

The steps to perform this refresh are:

1. Open the SchoolMessenger app.

2. Go to the menu in the upper left corner.

3. Choose contacts.

4. Once in contacts, press the refresh button in the upper right-hand corner.

5. This screen will still show an error, but when you open the menu from the upper left the second time, you will have access to Attendance. Messages will also be populated with all recent messages you were sent. 6. At this point, your app should be functioning normally again.
