Local Father and Daughter Team show off their culinary skills

Spur Secret Tribe Chief Cook event was hosted recently at Olive Branch Cooking School in Fourways and one of the event winning teams is from Vander- bijlpark. Father-and- daughter team, Des- mond Golding and 10-year old Layla won the prize for Best Burger at the event. Fifteen family teams from across Johannes- burg came together to create culinary delights and compete against each other to create the best Gourmet Burger and the most delicious plate of Loaded Fries. The teams were made up of a variety of combinati- ons (mother-and-son, mother-and-daughter, father-and-daughter as well as grandmother- and-granddaughter), who went all-out to win the top prizes in each category. The event was part of a competiti- on for Spur’s loyal Secret Tribe members – an exclusive club for kids aged 12 years and younger.
