The Mehi can be accessed from various points including: parklands adjacent to the Moree Services Club; behind the Moree Services Club; along the River at Lloyd Oval; North Western side of Dr.Hollingsworth bridge; Left hand Side of Greg Jones Bridge on the Newell Hwy bypass.

Located behind the Moree TAFE Campus in Bank Street. Boat access to the Mehi Mary Brand Park River at Mary Brand Park is located near low level bridge in Albert Street Travel 10km North of Moree on the Newell . Turn left at the Moree Boolooroo Weir Motocross Track sign onto an unsealed road. The river has several access points on the right hand side, as you travel down the unsealed road.

Located 115km North of Moree on Newell Hwy, at the T junction of Newell Hwy & Bruxner Hwy turn right, then at Fox St turn left & follow road to the Macintyre River. Fish off the bank or enter the water at the nearby boat ramp. Combadello Weir This fishing & bird watching site is approx. 24km west of Moree on the Gwydir Hwy. Turn onto Poison Gate Rd. & travel along this gravel road approx. 1km into the Weir. Yarraman Bridge Travel 5km NNW of Moree on the Carnarvon Hwy. Turn left just before Pioneer Bridge and travel 100m to the bank of the .

Travel 50km NW of Moree on the . Turn right onto the Moree Boomi Boonangar Crossing and travel along this road for 42km. Whilst here you can camp at the Boomi Hot Artesian pool Complex and take some time to explore the village.

Travel 120km NW of Moree on the Carnarvon Highway. You can fish along the Bar- won River near the bridge. Don't forget to take a dip & relax in the Hot Pools & en- joy the country hospitality of Mungindi. Head East of Moree for 17km on the . Turn left onto the Tareelaoi Weir road & travel for 3km on unsealed road to Weir. Basic toilet facilities are available.

Gum Flat is a Nature Reserve with ample camping space on the river. Travel approx. Gum Flat Reserve 25km East of Moree on the Gwydir Hwy. Turn left into Gum Flat & follow unsealed road for 1 km to Gwydir River.

Travel 35km East of Moree on the Gwydir Hwy. Boat ramp access at the Fisherman's Park. Free camping with toilets & shower block in park.
