PROGRAM

"Good day and hello in Bavaria!"

Welcome to the Danube metropolis Regensburg, situated at the most northern point of the Danube. Regensburg is one of the oldest cities in Germany, originally called in Celtic "Ratisbonne" or "Ratisbona" ("city with wall"). During Roman times an important fort, later a rich patrician city, free imperial city, diocesan town, seat of the noble family of the Von Thurn and Taxis, Regensburg belongs to the UNESCO world cultural heritage since 2006. Many nickname Regensburg the most northern city of Italy because of its wonderful flair - one more reason for our choice. If you choose the "Danube" program, you will take the bus to the Michelsberg to visit the « Befreiungshalle » or liberation hall, built by King Ludwig the first, in memory of the liberation wars of the German states against Napoleon. We will continue by boat through the impressive Danube valley to the pictorial situated Benedictine abbey Weltenburg. But it is not only the location and splendour of the abbey church that impress, the abbey brewery also delights every visitor.

Friday, 24 May 2019 Arrival of the participants from 12.00 pm to 03.00 pm at Camping Naabtal Dinner together in the hall & marquee including entertaining music

Saturday 25 May, 2019 Distribution of bread rolls Group A: City tour of Regensburg with guided tour of the cathedral and subsequent leisure time for strolling. Group B: Bus excursion Kelheim, Liberation Hall, boat trip through the Danube valley and Weltenburg abbey. Dinner in the marquee including entertaining music.
