SECTION B: 51. Read the passage given below and answer the questions that follow in full sentences. Every year in the month of August, Juma and his family go to his home village of Walata in Mbarara near Mt. Rwenzori. One Saturday morning on 15 th August, Juma and children were driving along Kampala – Masaka Rd. in his new Toyota Carina when 5 the car tyre rode on a sharp nail and burst. The car almost knocked a cyclist riding on the opposite side of the road as it moved from one side of the road to another. Luckily, Juma was a steady and experienced driver. He managed to steady the car until it came to a sudden stop just two metres away from the cyclist.
Juma had some tools in the toolbox in the boot of the car, but he could not repair the car tyre as he did not have adhesive and a piece of an old tyre to patch the hole. He used a spanner to unscrew the bolts and take the burst tyre off the rim. He used a ‘boda-boda’ to transport the tyre to Matoyo’s garage at Buwama where it was repaired and inflated with air. He fixed the tyre on the car and resumed the journey at around noon. Questions 1. Where was Juma going when his car tyre burst? ______2.
