North Darfur- No changes since last report

Additionally, on 25 January, 151 households were reported to have arrived in Um Dukhun following conflict in eastern Chad. Also, in early February, populations were displaced to Hassa-Hissa in Zalingei due to conflict in the Jebel Mara area.

Southern Sudan

CENTRAL EQUATORIA – No changes since last report ►Background Populations formerly displaced from Gemeiza to Terekeka have been reported as returning to their areas of origin. ►Response Activities by Location LOCATION IDPs ORIGIN PARTNER ACTION / DISTRIBUTIONS Central Equatoria Gemeiza Unverified TBC Gemeiza, IRW Assessment mission to Gemeiza was Mangala inconclusive as populations were inaccessible – either situated on islands or due to security constraints. IRW will return to Gemeiza town to do a house-to-house assessment; OCHA EP&R to determine if a follow-up assessment is required to the islands.

JONGLEI ►Background On 19 September, inter-tribal conflict and military clashes in Duk Padiet caused displacements. Additionally, clashes mid-January in Kolanyang (border area between Canal and counties) were reported to have large-scale displacement to Phom el Zeraf in Fangak County.

Note: 410 households below) were originally identified as in need; however, 33 did not show up to the distribution. Phom el Zeraf, Fangak County Verified 801 HHs Kolanyang Medair 600 kits dispatched and distributed; (estimated 10 balance of 201 households being villages in area) confirmed. 100 HHs - Dor Populations in two additional villages 200 HHs - were identified as requiring NFI Kolanyang assistance: 100 HHs in Dor; 200 HHs in Kolanyang.

LAKES ►Background Inter-tribal fighting was reported on 16 November in Kalthok Village, Puluk Payam, Awerial County. Populations were scattered, including to Pariak, Jonglei (see Jonglei for further details). Conflict was reported in Akot, Rumbek East County, in early January, affecting 12 villages. Additionally cross border cattle raids were reported between Lakes and States in November with the last reported attack on 24 December, resulting in displacements to Maper, Tonj East County.

WARRAP ►Background Inter-tribal fighting was reported late December in Marial Lou (formerly reported as Wunchei). An inter-agency assessment is ongoing and a full assessment report is pending.
