Relationships Key External NZC Community Team, local Regional Sports Trusts, Official Coordinator Relationships and Developers Primary Objectives • Support achievement of NDCA community strategic goals. • Lead NDCA Regional panel coordination, personnel and appointments. • Support locally appointed Official Coordinators and Developers. • Lead official developer processes inclusive of NDCA Panel Assessments. • Lead all official administration and communication. • Tournament lead for NDCA Tournaments. 1. Technical and Personal Competencies (a) Mandatory • Full clean drivers licence • Ability to influence stakeholders of all levels • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills • Excellent presentation and written communication skills

(b) Highly desirable • Understanding/experience in community sport as official player / administrator/ volunteer

2. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities • Regional Official Panel Lead • Collaborate with supporting staff and/or organisations to deliver outstanding and progressive experiences for the Regional Panels inclusive of: o NDCA Regional Trainer and Umpire Developer o Official Coordinator and Developers (OCD) (local) o NDCA Competitions and Tournaments Manager o and/or New Zealand Umpire and Scorers Association • Lead an annual selection and review process for the NDCA Panels and communicate to all relevant stakeholders. o Coordinate the NDCA umpire selection panel and process which comprises of the following lead roles in consultation with local OCD’s • Contribute to an annual organisational review of NDCA Umpire Panel structure. • Ensure all necessary communication to officials and relevant stakeholders is completed in a timely and effective manner.

• Regional Tournament Lead • Attend NDCA regional Tournaments as lead point of contact for all related matters. • Deliver daily umpire meetings at tournaments inclusive of both group and individual meetings as required. • Lead point of contact for all tournament matters inclusive of competition rule administration, communication and adherence.

• NDCA Fixture Appointments • Deliver a pre-season seminar to ensure officials understand competition/ tournament rules, structures and regulations. • In a timely and efficient manner, lead and coordinate the appointment of all officials’ across NDCA Tournaments and/or competitions, inclusive of all communications. • Lead and coordinate any requirements as per NZC fixtures hosted within NDCA, inclusive of cancellations and/or transfers etc, , inclusive of all communications. • Collaborate with other MA leads to establish umpire exchange opportunities. • Ensure all umpire appointments are recorded within the NDCA database and umpires are connected with a local OCD and/or a central contact within the NDCA Officials support panel. • Administer official payments as required.

• Coordination • Maintain a register of active officials and local OCD’s • Lead contact point for all ‘NDCA Regional Panel’ umpires (all Panels) and local OCD’s • Develop and deliver an approved annual plan of official activities focused on a ‘whole of cycle’ experience (Collaborate with NDCA Competitions and Tournaments Manager) • Attend meetings as required inclusive of NDCA, NZC and/or NZUSA. • Review playing conditions for all NDCA tournaments (collaborate with NDCA Competitions and Tournaments Manager). • Administer the umpire clothing stock in both distribution and replenishment in alignment with commercial requirements. • Support the implementation of any regional recruitment processes. • Ensure the NDCA Official page is updated and informative.

• Official Developer • Lead assessment and individual performance plans/reviews (IPP’s) across NDCA Regional Panel umpires/scorers as per observation matrix for Panel levels. • Collaborate and support local OCD’s to complete individual performance plans/reviews (IPP’s) and assess umpires external to the Regional Panel. • Support local OCD’s to: o Utilise the generic NDCA Umpire Assessment form (online). o Complete Umpire IPP reviews at required intervals. • Support the development and/or implementation of any umpire resources.

• Other • Be a leading ambassador for the game and NDCA. • Inspire male and females to connect with cricket through delivery of great opportunities.
