The distance squad will travel to South Bend, Ind., to take part in the Meyo 14 Kansas State Invitational Manhattan, Kan. Invitational on February 1 and 2. The sprinters will head to Lincoln, Neb. to compete at 19 Wildcat Invitational Manhattan, Kan. the Frank Sevigne Invitational on February 1 and 2. FEBRUARY Quick Sprints: 1-2 Meyo Invitational South Bend, Ind. • On the men’s side, freshman Bryce Robinson ranks 30th in the nation in the 60 meter 1-2 Frank Sevigne Invitational Lincoln, Neb. dash. His time of 6.71 set at the Wildcat Invitational shattered the school record. He also 8-9 Tyson Invitational Fayetteville, Ark. ranks 121st in the 200 meters with a time of 21.75. 23-24 C-USA Championships Birmingham, Ala. • Chase Sammons, the school record holder in the shot put, broke his own school record at the Wildcat Invitational earlier this year. His heave of 57 feet, 7 inches ranks 54th MARCH nationally. 1 Arkansas Last Chance Fayetteville, Ark. • The Tulsa men’s distance group enjoyed a stellar cross country campaign in the fall of 8 NCAA Championships Fayetteville, Ark. 2012 as the team finished seventh at the NCAA Championships and won its third straight league title. OUTDOOR SEASON MARCH Last Time Out (January 19, 2013): In its first meet of the 2013 indoor campaign, the Tulsa track and field teams com- 16 Tulsa Duels Tulsa, Okla. bined to win seven events at the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Kansas State. 30 Razorback Spring Invitational Fayetteville, Ark. Leading the way on the men’s side was freshman Bryce Robinson, who in his first APRIL meet for the Golden Hurricane shattered the school’s 60-meter dash record clocking in at 6.71 to win the event. 5-6 John McDonnell Combined Events Fayetteville, Ark. Robinson also finished second in the 200-meter dash where his time of 21.75, 13 Nebraska Quad Lincoln, Neb. which is the fourth-fastest in program history. 18-19 Mt. SAC Relays Walnut, Calif. Senior Chris O’Hare won the 1,000-meter run in a meet record time of 2:25.63. 25 Drake Relays Des Moines, Iowa Fellow senior Andrew Heyes was fourth in 2:27.40. 27 Araknsas Invitational Fayetteville, Ark. In the mile run, freshman Marc Scott won TU’s third event crossing the line in MAY 4:16.13. Sophomore Tim Rackers was close behind placing fourth in 4:16.49. Sophomore Chase Sammons took home the shot put title with a throw of 57 feet, 7 4 Arkansas Twilight Fayetteville, Ark. inches to break his school record of 51 feet, 3.5 inches. 9-12 C-USA Championships Houston, Texas In the weight throw, freshmen Tyrus Conley and Alex Lybarger finished fourth and fifth with throws of 49 feet, 10.5 inches and 45 feet, 9.25 inches, respectively. JUNE On the women’s side, senior Carolin Imhof won the long jump title soaring 18 feet, 4.5 inches, which was not only a personal best, but the fifth best mark in school history. 5-8 NCAA Championships Eugene, Ore. The Hurricane had three of the top four runners in the women’s mile, as senior Sarah Macpherson won the event clocking in at 5:04.36. Sophomore Brandi Krieg was Meyo Invitational third in 5:06.61, while sophomore Natasha Cockram was fourth in 5:10.07. Dates: Feb. 1 and 2 Senior Jaclyn Rollins won the 3,000-meters with a time of 10:29.14. Start Time: Feb. 1: 4 p.m., Feb. 2: 10 a.m. In the 1,000-meters, senior Melanie Hughes, senior Erin Huddleston and junior Host School: Notre Dame Lauren Collette finished third, fourth and fifth. Hughes clocked in at 2:56.28, Huddleson Location: South Bend, Ind. in 2:59.09 and Collette in 3:01.17. Track: Loftus Center Live Results: N/A Video Streaming: N/A A Year Ago (February 4, 2012): Scoring: No Team Scoring Chris O’Hare and Chase Sammons both shattered their own school records at the Meyo Invitational at Loftus Sports Center in South Bend, Ind. Frank Sevigne Invitational O’Hare won the 1,000m run and broke the facility record in a time of 2:20.99, breaking his school record by more than two seconds (2:24.20). Sammons finished 16th in the Dates: Feb. 1 and 2 weight throw with a toss of 15.42m, besting his previous school record by 0.42m. Start Time: Feb. 1: 12 p.m., Feb 2: 10 a.m. O’Hare’s mark is currently the third-fastest time in the nation this indoor season, and Host School: Nebraska the meet record he broke had stood since 2003.
