All Year FSC Celebrates 75 Years of Skating in Southern California! www.AllYearFSC.com All Year FSC Celebrates 75 Years of Skating in Southern! California! The All Year Figure Skating Club celebrated its 75th anniversary on January 17, 2014 with a Diamond Jubilee Gala at the Downtown on Ice rink at Pershing Square in Los Angeles. Formed in 1939, All Year FSC has hosted many prominent competitions, including the 2002 State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships and the annual Golden West Championships. Its members have won national titles and competed at the Olympics, World Championships and other major international competitions. The club sent 33 skaters to the 2014 Prudential U.S. Championships, where they won nine medals, including a silver medal by !Olympic ice dancer Madison Chock. Parents, skaters, officials and friends joined to commemorate decades of figure skating in Southern California. The fourth largest U.S. club with more than 500 members, All Year supports all levels of skaters, from beginners to elite competitors. Club president Janis Engel welcomed attendees and Doug Williams served as emcee for the evening’s skating show. Williams recognized special guests, including club firsts: 1970 U.S. junior champion, Richard Ewell, 1992 Olympian Scott Wendland, and Rena Inoue and John Baldwin, who performed the first throw triple Axel at the 2006 Olympics.
