Ongoing Out- break * A total of 16 Maternal deaths reported during this week, showed the same figure compared 5 to previous week. * A total of 139 suspected rabies cases without death were reported during the week. * A total of 98 Perinatal deaths were reported nationally during this week. * A total of 70 suspected meningitis cases without death were reported during the week. * A total of 106 relapsing fever (RF) cases without death were reported during the week. Newly occured * A total of 16 suspected Anthrax cases without death were reported during the week. outbreak 0 * Strengthening active case search for AFP, Enhanced surveillance and Immunization response should be conducted. * The response to Cholera, Dengue fever, AFP/Polio, Measles and Guinea worm outbreak should be linked to existing COVID-19 activities in order to use resources efficiently.

Dengue fever (DF): No additional DF Outbreak cases reported from Dire Dawa City during the week. Response to the outbreak is ongoing by Dire Dawa city Health bureau and team deployed from EPHI/PHEM.

Cholera: is ongoing in SNNPR, Oromia and Sidama region, a total of 286 Cholera cases without death were reported during the week. The highest 252(88%) were reported from SNNP region followed by 31(11%) were from Oromia region and 3(1%) of cases were from Sidama region. See below Figure.

AFP: No additional confirmed cVDPV2 and 1 VDPV2 cases reported during the week. A total of 41 suspected AFP cases were reported during the week. Highest 33(80%) suspected cases were reported from Oromia region followed by 3(7%) were from SNNP region. See figure detail below.

The highest 20(48%) suspected measles cases were from Oromia region followed by 17(40%) was reported from . See detail figure below.

Rabies: Nationally 139 suspected rabies cases without death were re- Anthrax: A total of 16 suspected Anthrax cases ported during the week. Highest 63(45%) suspected rabies cases were without death were reported during the week. Highest reported from Amhara followed by 49(35%) were from and 15(94%) cases were from Amhara region followed by 21(15%) were reported from . 1(6%) were from SNNP region.

Guine Worm: No additional Human and animal case of Guinea Worm disease reported during the week. Following Human case detected on 11 October 2020, outbreak investigation and response to the outbreak is ongoing. A team de- ployed composed of members from the EPHI, RegionalHealth Bureau (RHB) and Carter Center.

Neonatal tetanus (NNT): Two suspected NNT cases without death were reported during the week. Two of cases were reported from BuleHora Hospitals of Oromia region.

erinatal Death: A total of 98 Perinatal deaths were reported nationally during this week, showed 8(7.5%) Perinatal Pdeaths decrement as compared to last week. Highest 48(49%) deaths were from Amhara region. followed by 21(22%) from Addis Ababa city and 15(15%) Perinatal deaths were from Oromia region. See detail figure below

aternal Death: A total of 16 maternal deaths were reported nationally during this week, showed the same figure as Mcompared to the previous week. Highest 9(56%) maternal deaths were reported from Oromia region and followed by 6(38%) were from Amhara region and 1(6%) was from SNNP region. See figure below.

Highest 2629(34%) cases were reported from Amhara region followed by 1775(25%) from Oromia region and 1003(14%) from Tigray region.

Relapsing fever (RF): A total of 106 relapsing fever (RF) Meningitis: A total of 70 suspected meningitis cases cases without death were reported during the week, showed without death were reported during the week, which 19(18.6%) cases increment as compared to the last week. Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM): During the week, a total of 7,477 SAM cases and 6 deaths were reported, Which showed 396(5%) decreament of cases as compared to last week. The highest 3,175(41%) SAM cases were reported from Oromia followed by 1480(19%) were from and 1305(17%) were from SNNPR. Of total 6 deaths reported, 3 deaths were reported from Oromai region followed by 1 from (SNNPR, Afar & B. Gumuz regions) See detail figure below.
