Important Reminders for OFSAA Sanctioned Invitational Events Schools attending Track and Field meets in the US in the new year MUST receive OFSAA sanction at least 30 days prior to the date of the event. Some other sport convenors in the US are now requiring schools to obtain sanction to attend invitational events also. Check the OFSAA website to make sure your school has been approved to attend school sport events in the US. Schools must also receive OFSAA sanction to attend or to host a tournament, meet, or exhibition games in another province. Sanctions may also be placed on those OFSAA member schools attending interprovincial events without OFSAA sanction. All students participating in sanctioned events in Ontario, in the US, or in other provinces, must be eligible under OFSAA regulations and must be supervised by a teacher-coach from the school they represent throughout the duration of the event. See page 18 for OFSAA sanctioned invitational events.
