Aaron Arpon (JJ) (they/them) is a Theatre undergrad at UCSB. They are grateful to Center Stage and New and Reimagined Work and their cast for the opportunity to lend their voice to such an important project, and they would also like to thank all the young playwrights who helped this project come to fruition.

Johnathan Buhrer (Logan) (he/they): Is an artist based in Santa Barbara, Johnathan is extremely humbled by the opportunity to be a part of such a relevant piece. They would also like to provide some resources. Emilie Crotty (Stage Directions/Ensemble) is a Theater Arts student at LAVC and has been in productions such as: Love and Information, Los Vendidos, Hold For Three, Urinetown: The Musical, and many more. She's excited to work with everyone and is happy to keep the love of theater alive, as well as telling such an important story.

Shirin Enayati (Kiersa) is a freelance stylist and social media coordinator based in Los Angeles, CA. She recently graduated from UCSB with a degree in Communication and minor in Iranian Studies. Shirin hopes to one day become a Theater and Film Producer because theater and film has the capacity to keep viewers informed and entertained, elicit emotions, frame reality, impact behavior, and spread diverse stories. She is grateful for the opportunity to reunite with her fellow gauchos while being involved in a project that helps inform others on how gun violence is negatively affecting students across America.

Jordan Marie Finley (Willa) is a Promise Scholar, 2nd year CCS Writing and Literature major, and 1st year BFA Acting major at UC Santa Barbara. Her favorite acting roles include Charlotte in The White Card (UCSB), Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing (UCSB), Portia/Eros in Immortal Longings (UCSB), and Camillo in The Winter’s Tale (The Old Globe Theatre). Jordan is also the playwright of 3 plays that received productions in the past year, Feliz Cumpleaños (California Playwrights Project), Why We March (UCSB), and The Love Project (California Playwrights Project).

Allison McSwain (Production Designer/Video Editor) (she/her) is a UCSB Alumni and Lighting Design MFA Candidate for CMU's Class of 2024. Her recent work includes Lighting Design for UCSB's Tartuffe, Scenic Design for Opera Modesto's Mansfield Park, and Design for LAUNCH PAD's Alone, Together and Shanghai reading. She is very excited to be working as a designer for Loaded Language!

Elizabeth Shannon (Playwright) is a Maryland-based writer and a current senior. She is an apprentice at the Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET), as well as a member of the Theatre Focus in the Academy for the Fine Arts. Her play, WHAT ARE YOU HIDING?, which she co-wrote with Morgan Southwell, was a winner of Baltimore Centerstage’s Young Playwright’s Festival, and a finalist in The Secret Theatre’s Act One: One Act Festival, as well as part of the live-streamed reading series, THE FUTURE WAS NOW, by Quarantined Theatre Company, which can be found on YouTube. Her play, SMOKE, has also been published through Scripts For Stage, and had a Zoom performance with University of Texas El Paso’s student organization, Ensemble. Her play, NUCLEAR is a current winner of The Blank Theatre’s 28th Annual Young Playwrights Festival.

Sophie Swezey (Amira) (she/her) is a recent graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara. She received a degree in Theater as well as Language, Culture, & Society. She currently resides in Palo Alto, CA.

Nicole Zahner (Director) is a freelance director and artist currently based in Sacramento, CA. As a 2019 graduate of UCSB, Nicole is always delighted for an opportunity to work with current and former students and faculty, and to stay connected with the Santa Barbara Theater community. She believes that through continued art and activism, our country can make necessary changes to stop gun violence in America.

Malcolm by Debkanya Mitra

Daniel Andres Blanco (Director/Video Editor) is a recent graduate of the UCSB BFA Acting Program from the Class of 2020, and is currently working as an actor, writer, and director. His past directorial works include, Do Not Go, My Love, by Enid Graham, Late Night Prayer, by Anne Garcia-Romero, The Shakespeare Section, by Lynn Rosen, and Trumpus Caesar, by Carlos Morton. Daniel is currently collaborating with The Wayward Artist on a Theatrical adaptation of his next film, De La Luna, Del Sol, and with On The Verge Theater SB as a co-director of the upcoming HOME project. Daniel is also the recipient of the Robert G. Egan award for his contributions to the Theater/Dance department at UCSB, as well as the SBIFF Stay-at-Home Audience Favorite award for his film, EL CANTANTE: A Salsa Film.

Illan Chichportich (Designer) is a fourth Year Communication major with a minor in Theater Production & Design at UCSB. He has loved being a part of the New & Reimagined works Zoom design team for new works Generations and Why We March during the pandemic. This is Illan’s first time designing for Center Stage and is appreciative and hopeful for theatre in the future.

Armando Garcia Jr. (Bandmate) (he/him/his) is a fourth year Theater major--with a concentration in Theater & Community--at UCSB. He is new to acting, but has worked in and around theater for quite some time. Previous acting credits include Immortal Longings.

Taylor Kirk (Sister) is a second year at UCSB as a BFA acting major. She was last seen in a debut reading of Why We March by Jordan Finely, playing the role of Storm. Taylor is ecstatic to be a part of a show that discusses such relevant and significant issues of our time and she believes that the pandemic could never halt storytelling, especially when it is worthwhile. She would like to thank her cast, director, and technical designer for all the hard work they devoted to Malcolm!

Debkanya Mitra (Playwright) is a Maryland-based writer and is currently a student at the University of Maryland.

Allyson Nicholas (Driver) is a third-year theater major with a concentration in theater and community and Japanese minor at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Beginning behind the stage, Allyson has helped out with a few of UCSB's shows such as Into the Beautiful North and Tartuffe. She made her acting debut on UCSB's Hatlen Theater stage during the summer of 2019 as a member of the ensemble in Irwin Appel's adaptation of The Winter's Tale. She continues to make appearances in UCSB's shows this year, such as the staged reading of Why We March, organized by UCSB's Initiative for New and Reimagined Works and AMPLIFY, as well as an ensemble cast member of a selection of works from Suzan-Lori Parks' 365 Days/365 Plays.

Verenice Zuniga (College Friend) is a UCSB Alumni with a BFA in Acting and currently based in Los Angeles. She most recently starred in Trafficked 2.0 which premiered at the Hollywood Festival. Last fall she appeared in the New & Reimagined production of Love at Center Stage.She is excited to share the screen with this talented cast.

Sheila Correa (Fate 2) (she/her/hers) is a senior in the BFA Acting program. She was previously seen in UCSB Launchpad’s Alone, Together. She loves to spend time with her kitty, Julie (named after Shakespeare’s Juliet). She is very excited to be part of such an important project and is grateful for the opportunity! Above all, she hopes you are staying and healthy.

Adelaide Fisher (Playwright) is a Florida-based writer and a current junior. She wrote this play with the support of the Orlando Repertory Theater. She's been involved in theatre since she was 5, and wrote her first play in the 7th grade for Young Playwrights for Change. Right now, you can find her both onstage and behind the scenes proudly representing International Thespian Troupe 6614. When she's not at rehearsal, she spends her time reading, baking, studying, and doing art. She lives with her mom, her dad, her younger brother, and two pet snails, named Velma and Daphne.

Ethan Kim (Fate 3) is proud to be a part of ENOUGH and plays Fate 3 in Ms. Martin's Malaise. Other zoom theatre credits include Alone Together, The Son, and 365 Days 365 Plays. He'd like to thank Center Stage Theater and New & Reimagined Work for this amazing opportunity and his family for their endless support. Ethan is a second-year acting and communications double major at UCSB.

Kaede ”Kai” Kogo (Production Designer/Video Editor) graduated from UCSB theater department this year. She is pursuing her career as a lighting designer. She has been working on online performances as video designer/editor as well. Her previous work includes Dear Hope (Hangar Theater Company), Generations (UCSB Initiative for New & Reimagined Work) and SHANGHAI (UCSB Launch Pad Production). She would like me to thank all of the people who have been supporting her under these difficult circumstances.

Alyssa Longwill (Maria) is a second-year BFA Acting student at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her previous credits include Rene in Rosebud and C in Let mot justes, both of which were presented in the Alone, Together LAUNCHPAD festival. She wants to thank her family and friends for always supporting her, and is so grateful to be involved in such an important project.

Sara Neal (Ms. Martin) (she/her/hers) is a senior at UC Santa Barbara studying for her BFA in Acting with a double minor in Educational Studies and Applied Psychology. Some of her acting credits include Liz in Icebreakers, Rose in Ghost Quartet, and Cassius in Julius Caesar. She is also a co-founder of the up-and- coming theatre company - Rollie Pollie Theatre Co. - where she is devising a new web series called Unit 24 (premiering in January!). She is grateful to be working with Center Stage and New & Reimagined Work where they are keeping theatre alive during this difficult year!

Jack Richman (Director) (he/him/his), is a fourth year student at UC Santa Barbara, studying Theater and specializing in Directing. His previous work includes Suzan Lori-Park's 365 Days, 365 Plays and his contribution to the groundbreaking, all-digital Alone, Together project. His primary interests are in non- traditional and experimental theater techniques. He would like to thank the ENOUGH team for their hard work in the interest of changing the world for the better.

Jonah Spitler (Stage Directions) is thrilled to be a part of #ENOUGH- Plays to End Gun Violence! A sophomore at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Jonah is double majoring in Theater and Communication, and has starred in the Zoom productions Much Ado About Nothing as Benedick and Why We March as Kennedy Klein. He's also performed onstage as Emmett Forrest in Legally Blonde- The Musical and Cardinal Richelieu in The Three Musketeers. On top of acting, Jonah loves dance and hopes to further pursue dance training. He is extremely grateful to be able to perform during these unprecedented times, especially in such important work as #ENOUGH.

Angel Villalobos (Oscar) (he/him) is a current BFA Acting and BA Sociology student at UCSB. From Los Angeles, he has found much joy and opportunity as an actor, writer, director, and teaching artist for youth. Three of his most recent acting credits include Orgon in Tartuffe, Harry in Black Flag, and Duke Orsino in Twelfth Night. Villalobos is currently the education programs assistant at Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum. A Spanish speaker and first-generation student, Villalobos strives to utilize theatre and performance to support individuals and promote their growth. He is the co-founder of student-run theatre company, @rolliepollietheatrecompany with mission statements that include: making theatre accessible for all, telling fresh stories, and fostering student artistic growth during the pandemic.

Grace Wilken (Fate 1) is a third-year double major in Theater and English at UC Santa Barbara. At UCSB, she is involved with Shrunken Heads Production Company, the student-run musical theater ensemble, and has enjoyed being in their past productions of Spring Awakening and Hair. This past summer she participated in UCSB Naked Shakes’ production of Immortal Longings in the roles of Flavius, Lucius, and Charmian. She is also the co-president of the UCSB Women’s Ensemble Theatre Troupe who hope to put on their annual show this spring!

Togetha by Azya Lyons

Shekinah Bryant (Chayenne) (she/her/hers) is a fourth-year in the UCSB BFA Acting program. She is extremely excited to be part of this project. Some of her previous credits include Cleopatra in Immortal Longings, Leigh Fondakowski in The Laramie Project, and Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet. She would like to remind you that Black Lives Matter always.

Kaori Chavez (Imani) from Santa Barbara, CA. I am currently a communications major at Santa Barbara City College with a passion for the Arts. I Love to sing and act, and being with my close circle. I have been in 5 musicals, and I am very excited to do my first non-musical play.

Miriam Dance (Director) is a performer, singer-songwriter and current Director of Theater at Marymount of Santa Barbara. Recent credits include: Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act the Musical (San Diego Musical Theater) Assistant Director of To Kill a Mockingbird (Repertory Theater of St. Louis) Sister Chantelle in Bare (Out Theater Co.) Director of Swing the Musical (Arete Productions) and Maureen in Rent (Arete Productions). In His Hands a play written by Miriam Dance, premiered in the University of California, Santa Barbara’s New Works Festival in 2017, where she also received her B.A. in Theatre Directing and Playwriting. February 2019, Miriam released her first EP entitled Heartstrings to all digital music platforms.

Maria Lopez (Aaliyah) I am majoring in Theatre. I’m very passionate about acting and my goal is to become a film actress after graduating college. I really enjoy dramatic emotional scenes because I enjoy expressing my emotions deeply when I act as I believe that those types of scenes show how we react to things on a deeper level. I am excited to participate in this play as it contributes to sending a big message on gun violence and how it effects people. Azya Lyons (Playwright) is a Mississippi-based creative writer. She enjoys writing fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry and plans to make writing her vocation. Azya is the recipient of 2 Silver Keys in Scholastics, has been published in 2 literary journals, and has won a national poetry contest.

Jasmine Shanel Ramirez (Aiyanna) is 19 years old. I have been a part of theater for 6 years now and the journey has been amazing. I am so honored to be a part of this production. When I read the script for the first time I was touched and left speechless. Things happen in a blink of an eye and life is so precious. There are only 4 of us in the cast and to see such dedication and inspiration really was a sign of hope. Also working with Miriam Dance was a great experience! Everyone at Center Stage has been so helpful and understanding. I’m excited to share this with my community to spread awareness about gun violence.

Hullabaloo by Sarah Schecter Iris Skeen (Director) (she/her/hers) is a 4th year in the theatrical directing program at UCSB and pursuing a double minor in English and Education. Earlier this year you may have seen her in the UCSB Womxn’s Ensemble Theatre Company’s production One Night Stand, assistant directing Hookman, or directing for the Alone, Together Festival and the 365 Days/365 Plays project! Harry Davis (Hunter) is a senior graduating from UC Santa Barbara's BFA Acting program. Previous credits include The Winter's Tale, Immortal Longings, What Martha Did, and Tartuffe (UCSB).

Frances Domingos (Mel) (they/them/theirs) is a junior in the UCSB BFA Acting program. They are playing Mel in this production of Hullabaloo. They have worked on previous UCSB productions including 365 Days, 365 Plays, Immortal Longings, and Alone, Together. This is their first production with Center Stage Theater, and hopefully the first of many. Ryan Hollon (Stage Directions) (she/her) is a senior in the BFA acting program at UCSB. She is very excited to be reading Stage Directions for Hullabaloo!! Past credits include Chloe in Hookman and Romaine Patterson in The Laramie Project. She is very grateful for the opportunity to participate in such an important festival.

Sophie Lynd (Production Designer/Stage Manager/Video Editor) is a second-year Theater major at UC Santa Barbara. She is the designer and stage manager for Hullabaloo and has enjoyed working with fellow UCSB students on the show. Recent Zoom credits include: 365 Days/Plays, Generations, and Alone Together, all with UCSB. Sophie hopes to become a professional lighting designer after college and can't wait to be back in a real theater when it is safe to do so!

Sarah Schecter (Playwright) is a theatre artist, community organizer, and chef from Oakland, California. She is a senior in high school studying Playwriting, and a member of the Teen Core Council at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Her work has been published by the New York Times, Still I Rise Films, and We Write The World, and performed by Oakland School for the Arts, PlayGround SF, and the Heart of Oakland Festival. She spends her non-theatrical time as President of Bay Area Student Activists, a student-led civic engagement group, and learning and cooking in kitchens around the Bay Area.

Harut Simonian (Homer) is a second year BFA student at UCSB. He is excited to take part in this dialogue on guns and the culture surrounding them. He hopes you enjoy the reading!

Ghost Gun by Olivia Ridley

SHIRLEY JO FINNEY (Director) is an award-winning international director of theater, television and films. She has worn her director’s hat in some of the most respected regional theater houses across the country including The McCarter Theatre, The Pasadena Playhouse, The Goodman Theater ,the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, The Cleveland Playhouse, The Fountain Theater, LA Theater Works, The Crossroads Theater Company, Actors Theater of Louisville Humana Festival, the Sundance Theater Workshop ,The Mark Taper Forum, Kennedy Center For The Performing Arts and the State Theater Opera House in Pretoria, South Africa. Most recently, Miss Finney presented an Online Streaming production of Emmett Till that was critically acclaimed for its directing and editing. She also directed and developed the critically acclaimed world premiere of Citizen:An American Lyric by the award-winning Pen poet Claudia Rankin. Other works include Facing Our Truth The Trayvon Martin Project at the Kirk Douglas theater , The Lark Foundations Rolling Premier of the The Road Weeps by Marcus Gardley at The Los Angeles Theatre Center, Tarell Alvin McCraney’s Brother/Sisters Plays, at the Fountain Theater, Lisa B Thompson’s Single Black Female at the Crossroads Theater, Dominque Morisseau’s Detroit 67 at the Penumbra Theater. She also helmed the International all South African Opera Winnie based on the life of political icon Winnie Mandela. Miss Finney is the recipient of prestigious award such a SDCF’s 2017 Denham Fellowship for her production of Run Away by Jermey Kamps, The LA Drama Critic’s Milton Katsleas Distinguished Career Award, The Los Stage Alliance Ovation Award, The Los Angeles Drama Critics Award. The NAACP and the Santa Barbara Independent awards for her directing work. She was honored with the UCLA Department of Stage Film and Television Distinguished Alumni Award. The Black Alumni Associations Dr. Beverly Robinson Award for Excellence in the Arts. She is an alumnus of the American Film Institute Director Workshop for Women and holds an MFA degree from UCLA is also a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers, the Directors Guild and The Screen Actors Guild.

Olivia Ridley (Playwright) is a New Jersey-based writer and a current senior. In 2018, her play SLUSH, which explored the similarly topical issue of assisted suicide, was selected to be performed at Luna Stage in NJ. Though she is deeply passionate about playwriting, she has a more extensive background as a performer, working primarily with Vanguard Theater Company in NJ, and most recently with Seth Rudetsky’s PLAYS IN THE HOUSE (Teen Edition). And her passions extend beyond theater; she loves writing/performing slam poetry when she can, and enjoys political science and debate as well. In her art, Olivia hopes to expose the nuance of “taboo” topics and spark much needed conversation, seeking to educate not only the audience, but herself as well in the process.

Cyrus Roberts (Black Boy) is a writer and performer from Los Angeles, California. He is a Finalist for L.A. Youth Poet Laureate and has had his work commissioned by Toms Shoes, Adidas, March For Our Lives, and others. Recent acting credits include Cyrus in the Sundance film Summertime, Hookman/Sean/Adam in Hookman, Brutus in Julius Caesar. Cyrus is the co-founder of his theatre company Rollie Pollie Theatre Company and is a showrunner on their premiering web series Unit 24. Cyrus is also the self-published author of his poetry compilations carpe forma (2018) and & the Sun breathes & the Trees die (2020). He is currently a junior at the University of California, Santa Barbara in the BFA Acting program.

Vickie J. Scott (Producer/Production Design) Vickie is a Lighting and Scenic Designer for Dance, Theatre, and Themed Entertainment, and is the Executive Producer for Dramatic Women, founded in 1993 to explore and promote the participation of women in all areas of theatre and to produce original scripts for the theater by Santa Barbara, California based writers. She is also the Resident Lighting Designer and the Production Coordinator for the Ojai Playwright’s Conference in beautiful Ojai, California and a faculty member in the Department of Theater and Dance at the University of California Santa Barbara, where she teaches lighting design for theater and dance, designs lights and mentors students. Vickie is proud to be the founding producer for the Initiative for New and Reimagined Work.

Guns In Dragonland by Eislinn Gracen

Megan Brown (Toucan) is a junior in the BFA Acting Program at UC Santa Barbara: Under Normal Circumstances, Immortal Longings, Launchpad 2020 Reading Series. This is her second filmed project, her first time playing an imaginary dragon, and she's thrilled to be working on such a meaningful, invigorating piece.

Eislinn Gracen (Playwright) is Florida-based artist, writer, and current junior. Her piece, GUNS IN DRAGONLAND, was initially workshopped & produced as a virtual staged reading as the headliner for Beth Marshall Presents’ New Works Series. She was a participant and winner in the inaugural Be Original playwriting festival in 2019, hosted by New Generation Theatricals and Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center. She won the Florida Theatrical Association Award for her play, WOLF IN A CONCRETE JUNGLE, which was performed as a table read at the festival and also as a staged reading at UCF last winter. Most recently, she wrote the part of THE PARDONER in the Howler’s Theatre presented virtual reading of the Orlando Fringe Festival’s THE CANTERBURY TALES PROJECT.

Natalie Kellogg (Director) is a Santa Barbara based director and recent graduate from Marymount Manhattan College in New York (BA in Theatre Arts: Directing). In 2016 she started the SB Theatre Initiative for Young Adults, where she directed Frank Wedekind’s Spring Awakening and Euripides’ Medea. Other directing projects of Natalie's include The Night Eva Le Gallienne Was Raped by Carolyn Gage (MMC Directing Projects), The Most Massive Woman Wins by Madeleine George (SBCC One Acts Festival), Tick, Tick, Tick, Tick by D. Gilmartin (Lucky Rat Artist Collective), and The Grave of Sam Baker by Jon Vreeland (Dramatic Women).

Alexandra Singleton (Lilah) (she/her/hers) is a fourth year Theater major in the BFA Acting program at UCSB. Some of her past credits include What Martha Did (Martha, Young Woman) and Immortal Longings (Enobarbus). She has also performed in the Prague Shakespeare Company's Macbeth (Witch) and Midsummer Night's Dream (Hermia). Pronouns:

Teri Ball (Producer/Center Stage Executive Director) has a background in the performing arts that includes experience as an Executive Director, Development Director, Marketing Director, non-profit management consultant and professional theatrical stage manager and production manager. In addition to her many years of professional experience Ms. Ball holds a Masters degree in Non-Profit Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University, a Bachelors degree in Theater from Cal State Northridge and was a long-time stage management member of Actors Equity the union of professional actors and stage managers.

Center Stage Theater (Producer) exists to provide a professional, affordable, and accessible arts venue for the Santa Barbara community. The theater offers an environment where people of all ages, levels of expertise, and socio- economic backgrounds can participate in a hands-on experience as artists, technicians and audience members. Center Stage encourages work that celebrate new artists and the cultural diversity of our community. The offerings at Center Stage are reflective of our mission to be a venue to serve the community. One day that may be the premier of an original dance piece or play, the next might be a lecture on Buddhism and there will absolutely be numerous performances featuring young singers, dancers and actors as young as 3 or 4 years old. We are proud that each year our renters include organizations that have made Center Stage their home for years along with many first-time producers. We are also pleased to serve the full spectrum of community events including dance, music, theater, lectures, meetings and films with a breadth of types of performances from young dancers and actors appearing on stage for the first time to seasoned professionals.

Initiative for New and Reimagined Work (Producer) Supported by the University of California Santa Barbara, within the Department of Theater and Dance, the Initiative for New and Reimagined Work explores the past, the present, and the possible! Our mission is to encourage and support new and reimagined works while nurturing the next generation of playwrights, directors, choreographers, designers, administrators, and performers. CREATE FORWARD!

Vickie J. Scott (Producer/INRW Founder-Director) Vickie is a Lighting and Scenic Designer for Dance, Theatre, and Themed Entertainment, and is the Executive Producer for Dramatic Women, founded in 1993 to explore and promote the participation of women in all areas of theatre and to produce original scripts for the theater by Santa Barbara, California based writers. She is also the Resident Lighting Designer and the Production Coordinator for the Ojai Playwright’s Conference in beautiful Ojai, California and a faculty member in the Department of Theater and Dance at the University of California Santa Barbara, where she teaches lighting design for theater and dance, designs lights and mentors students. Vickie is proud to be the founding producer for the Initiative for New and Reimagined Work.
