Bid Process still open

We would like to remind you that the Bid Process for the following Championships and FEI Named-Events are still open and can be initiated by any interested party. Please apply via the FEI online bidding platform.

In principle, all events for 2019, 2020, 2021 and those events marked with an asterisk (*) will be allocated in June 2019. The remainder will be allocated in November 2019.

PARA EQUESTRIAN

FEI Para Equestrian Forum

As previously announced, the registration portal for the FEI Para Equestrian Forum 2019 is open and can be accessed from the Para Equestrian Forum page. The Forum is being held on 25 – 26 May 2019 in Lamotte-Beuvron (FRA) and registration is open to all members of the Para Equestrian community. The deadline for registration is 20 April 2019.

FEI Classification opportunity for Athletes with Visual Impairments

The FEI, in cooperation with the organising committee of CPEDI3* Hartpury (GBR) and the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA), is pleased to announce that Para Equestrian Athletes (both Dressage and Driving) with vision impairments will have the opportunity to be internationally classified in Hartpury (GBR) on 2 July 2019 in connection with the CPEDI3* Hartpury (GBR).

No fee will be charged to athletes attending this particular IBSA Classification.

National Federations are kindly requested to submit the VI Classification requests to Chloe Harty by Tuesday 21 May 2019 with the following documents:

 The FEI Classification Request Form,  The FEI Consent for Classification Form,

 The Visual Impairment Medical Diagnostics Form, completed by a registered ophthalmologist and signed by the National Federation. All of the above forms can be found on the FEI Para Equestrian Classification webpage and must be completed in full, legibly and in English or with a signed translation in copy.

EVENTING

FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ Series – Test of the Olympic Format

In 2019, the 2020 Olympic Games team competition format will be tested at two FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ Series. The order of the tests will be the same as for the Olympic Games, the competition will include teams of three athletes/horse combinations and one substitution allowed per team.

The Eventing Olympic format will be tested at:  Pratoni del Vivaro (ITA) 6-9 June 2019 CCIO4*-S-NC  Boekelo (NED) 17-20 October 2019 CCIO4*-L-NC

The reserve (4th) athlete/horse combination will be allowed to participate in the full Nations Cup competition for MER and qualification purpose. The same conditions applied for the events held in Strzegom (POL) and Millstreet (IRL) in 2018.

VAULTING

2019 FEI Vaulting Guidelines

Following the FEI Vaulting seminar held in Las Vegas (USA) on 6-8 March 2019 and based on the comments of the participants, the FEI Vaulting Technical Committee have made some amendments to 2019 FEI Vaulting Guidelines.

The 2019 FEI Vaulting Guidelines are available on Inside.FEI.org, effective from 14 March 2019.

The modifications in the Guidelines result in an amendment to the “2019 FEI Technical Exercises for Individual Senior 3*” which have been updated on Inside.FEI.org accordingly.
