JENNETTE MCCURDY Biography

Continuously emerging as one of entertainment’s most sought after and engaging talents, Jennette McCurdy will next star in the Untitled Dan Schneider television series for .

McCurdy is best known for her role as “Sam Puckett” on the incredibly successful Nickelodeon television show iCarly. She has previously appeared on other Nickelodeon films including Fred: The Movie and .

Jennette became interested in acting after seeing in Star Wars, and made her first televised appearance on Mad TV in 2000. Since then, she’s been prominently featured in both films and television.

Jennette brings the same passion she has for acting to her career as a singer/; she released her full length album for Capitol Nashville this Spring 2012.

Jennette cites influences ranging from the Rascal Flatts and to The Eagles and Crosby, Stills and Nash. At the age of fourteen, she gravitated to the songwriting of 70’s acts like Carole King, James Taylor and Him Croce, and they continue to inspire her music today.

She is devoted to several charities, including St. Jude’s Research Hospital, the Cody Waters Foundation, Invisible Children and the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Jennette is currently performing on the for St. Jude multi-city tour in support of the St. Jude Research Hospital.

As part of the “iCarly iCook with Birds Eye” initiative, Jennette joined Birds Eye this year as a veggie-loving ambassador, in order to help change the conversation about vegetables, inspire the next generation of vegetable lovers, and encourage kids to share their veggie inspiration with other kids.

Jennette was raised in Garden Grove, California and resides in , though she considers Nashville her home away from home.
