The more items registered on the site, the easier it is for Police officers to identify lost or stolen property and return it to the registered owner. This can also help in identifying criminals in possession of stolen items such as mobile phones. www.registermythings.co.uk can be accessed via the West Midlands Police Force webpage. Another website to visit is http://www.west-midlands.police.uk/saferhomes/distraction_burglary/index.htm This carries some useful in advice relation to Bogus Officials/Distraction, especially if you have family/friends who are elderly/vulnerable.
