3 friday Best Herding Titled in Group Competition For Herding Titled Dogs & Bitches To be eligible for Best Herding Titled in Group Competition, the dog must be entered in the Herding Titled Dog or Herding Titled Bitch Class. Immediately following Best of Breed Competition, the winners of the Herding Titled Dog Class & Herding Titled Bitch Class will be judged to determine Best Herding Titled in Breed. Best Herding Titled will be eligible to compete in the Herding Titled Group. The winner of the Herding Titled Group will be the Best Herding Titled in Group.

Directions to University of California, Davis: Take I-80 East to Hwy. 113 North. Exit at the first exit off of 113 (Hutchinson). Turn right onto Hutchinson and turn right at the second light onto LaRue. Take the first right again onto Garrod. Where Garrod ends, go straight into the parking lot for the Small Animal Clinic. The entrance for emergency is on the right side of the building. After hours there is a bell to ring to be let in.

“Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians' recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.”

ALL PURINA AWARDS, IF NOT PRESENTED IN THE RING, MUST BE PICKED UP DURING THE EVENT AT THE PURINA BOOTH. PRESENTATION OF THE WINNING RIBBON IS REQUIRED. PURINA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE AWARD SUBSTITUTIONS OF EQUAL OR GREATER VALUE IF LISTED AWARD IS NOT AVAILABLE.

4 friday Ramps at the sole discretion of the judge, approved breeds may be examined on the ground or on a ramp: Polish Lowland Sheepdogs. This list may be revised from time to time, and the current list can be found on the AKC website in Judging Operations. A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give reasonable notice to the Show Superintendent/Show Secretary prior to the day of the show. AKC approval is not required. Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. (In all but emergency situations, the exhibitor has no recourse. In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund.)

TROPHIES MUST BE CLAIMED THE DAY OF THE SHOW. NONE WILL BE MAILED.

NO PRACTICING ALLOWED IN RINGS AT ANY TIME.

Dogs May Arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused.

Judges Will Not Wait for Any Dog Holding Up a Class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged.

All Dogs Present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring.

No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of any tent in which this is conducted.

As specified in Chapter 12,S ection 4 of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, information contained on the entry form is required to be published in the club’s show catalog. This information is also subject to publication in other media.

Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the event's Show Committee. If because of riots, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, national emergencies, health emergencies, and the dictates of law enforcement or of the owner(s) of the grounds and/or facilities or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to, snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, heavy rains, or other circumstances including, but not limited to, the condition of the facilities or grounds and/or the ingress and egress from the grounds, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made.

5 friday Overnight RV Parking Information ALL VEHICLES MUST BE SELF-CONTAINED. No discharge of waste/gray water on the grounds. Overnight RV parking on grass & electrical hookups, close to rings. The overnight and day-of-show parking is a privilege extended by the Dixon May Fairgrounds and SVDFA. SVDFA reserves the right to withdraw this privilege from any person(s) who abuses this privilege or who uses abusive language. There will be no moving from assigned spaces nor trading of spaces without approval of the Parking Chairperson. ALL PARKING IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. The show giving club assumes no responsibility or liability for damages, loss to any vehicles, its contents or dogs. Fire lanes must be kept open at all times. Vehicles subject to towing at owner’s expense with no prior notification. No visitors will be allowed to drive their cars into the overnight reserved parking. They must walk. Please send a self-addressed stamped envelope or NO advance confirmation will be mailed.Reservations must have been postmarked by October 14, 2009. All reserved parking requests will be assigned upon arrival.

Electrical hookups are available; water; clean hot showers. Parking on grass close to rings. Tented rings and grooming tent.

Reserved Overnight Parking Fees-$37.00 per night - Two night minimum. Unreserved overnight $42.00 per night, cash only. Tag-along vehicles $10.00 per night. No overnight vehicles in the lot across from main entrance.

Limited disability parking will be available only upon proof of a valid disabled placard or license. These spaces will provide roadway access, not closeness to rings.

All vehicles and pens must be confined to a 40' x 20' area. Y ou may purchase an additional area if needed. Those parking together must send reservations together. Rigs longer than the stated length on reservation form will be parked at the rear of the parking area, at committee convenience.

Parking gates will be open from 3:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. on October 22nd & from 6:00 A.M through 11:00 P.M. Friday through Sunday. No generators between 10:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M.

6 friday Directions to the Show/Parking Information From Westbound I-80, go West to Dixon, take Hwy. 113 South exit. (Hwy. 113 is First Street). Dixon May Fairgrounds is on the left, one-half mile past the traffic signal at First & A Streets. From Eastbound I-80, take Dixon Avenue/West A Street exit and go right onto West A. Go approximately 2 miles, turn right onto South First Street at the signal in the middle of town. Go ½ mile to the Fairgrounds on the left. Unloading will be allowed in designated area only, for 20 minutes, when vehicles must be moved to Day of Show parking area. Please cooperate. Warning If its is necessary to resuce a dog from a parked car on the show grounds, the Club will not be responsible or liable for any damage to the car! Day of Show Parking Only: Directly across the street from the show grounds gate, on the west side of First St. Note that No on Grounds Parking is available on Friday, except for club officials with permits issued by SVDFA.
