Local Character

The local character of Bozeat provides design elements that could be taken forward into the proposed residential site. Road forms the main street through the village and larger detached dwellings front on to it. The Victorian dwellings feature symmetrical elevations and wide frontages, set back from the street.

The centre of the village contains a large number of narrow streets that are enclosed by stone and brick terraces, rectangular in form with the constant use of stone lintel, cills, brick arch details and narrow front boundaries. Several thatched detached dwellings are located around the core of the village. These generally have a wider frontage and are characterised by timber eaves, front canopys and timber sash windows. 04 Easton Lane, Bozeat CONSTRAINTS & OPPORTUNITIES
