WHAT’S ON 2017

WELCOME!

The November we celebrate 800 years since the issue of the Charter of the Forest.

To mark this occasion, alongside our regular programme, we are hosting a series of events that engage with Charter’s legacy. One of the most important concepts behind the document is the idea of common access to private land, so this autumn we plan to open up parts of Lincoln to the public through site-specific and outdoor arts events. The largest of these is Pop Out Festival in September. We’ll be announcing the full line-up in late summer, which will include a return of Paines Plough’s touring theatre Roundabout but also an exciting partnership with the Waterside Shopping Centre that will literally have us setting up shop for a three-week residency of pop-up theatre, family fun, music and arts experiences, inviting you to see your city differently. We are also placing the Charter of the Forest at the heart of this year’s family Christmas Show – The Adventures of Robin Hood and Maid Marian – which will see the fight for justice take centre stage in a rip-roaring adventure. Full of magic and festive and fun this will be the ideal way to round off another great year of arts and entertainment before we set out sites on 2018 and our 10th Birthday! See You Soon! The Team
