After a four-year career with the Javelinas, he played for the Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears in the NFL. He was a Bears’ offensive lineman for 10 seasons, starting 145 games at center and at both offensive guard positions. Garza’s last season with the Bears was 2014. He currently is the Spanish speaking analyst for Telemundo Fox Deportes and ESPN Deportes and has been on the broadcast team for the two past Super Bowls. He is a member of the Javelina Hall of Fame and the Lone Star Conference Hall of Honor. Garza is married to the former Ashley Golden, who was a multi- sport athlete for the Javelinas. He is the 10th Javelina to be inducted into the LASHOF.
