We are very proud to have been awarded the Princes Teaching Institute Subject and Leadership Mark and delighted to receive the latest Prince’s Teaching Institute Impact Report, as one of our pupils, Tirion Davies, was included in a two page feature. The report illustrates the work of the PTI throughout the UK and will be used to promote the organisation to other schools and colleges who may wish to become involved. The support and development that we, as a school, receive from the PTI is essential as part of our professional development programme.

The infant classes at Ysgol Min-y-Ddol took a walk to Ty Mawr as part of the literacy in the outdoors week. They spend time everyday outside learning, sometimes the whole day! The pupils love it so much and I think the staff do too.

Two pupils of Ysgol Min-y-Ddol blew the audience away with their duet performance on the Cornet. In the morning they treated the school assembly to a performance before travelling over to Oswestry to compete in the Oswestry Music Festival. The duet competition for Noah and Angharad was against pupils who were up to 12 years old, whilst Angharad also competed in the solo under 9’s. The smiles on their faces after their performances showed just how much they enjoyed it. Both pupils are members of the Llangollen Silver Band and through that support were encouraged to participate in the competition. Big Thank you to Trevor at the Llangollen Silver Band.
