Minutes Item §l) On a motion by Councillor Owen the minutes of the meeting of June l6th, l96l, were approved. — Carried.

Beach W. Item 2 gag Councillor Van West reported that Gull Lake the owner of N.E. lO—42—l-N5has asked the amount of $2,000.00 for the land on the west side of Gull Lake which is to be used as a recreation area.

Moved by Councillor Reed that Councillor Van Nest's report be accepted. — Carried.

Damage Item 2 (bl A committee report was given some

Claim — time ago on the Chester Black damage claim. The committee C. Black at that time recommended payment for an area of 8 acres @ 60 bushels per acre, #80 bushels @ 80 cents — $38#.OO.

Mr. Black entered the meeting and this report was given to him and, after some discussion,he accepted the committee recommendation.

Moved by Councillor Palechek that the committee report be accepted. — Carried.

Pound Item 2 go) The pound case of Herb Martin was Case - discussed, and it was moved by Councillor Hunt that the Martin, committee report be accepted and, on their recommendation, Johnson that six dollars be paid to Herb Martin and sale excess amounting to fourteen dollars be sent to Lawrence Johnson.

Underpass Item 2 {dz Councillor Skeels reported that 22—43—28 the underpass on Section 22—H3—284N4has been replaced and this report was accepted on a motion by Councillor Hunt.

On a motion by Councillor Van Nest the assessment was confirmed. — Carried

Adjourn On a motion by Councillor Hunt the Court of Revision was adjourned and the Council reverted back to a County meeting. — Carried.

S.E. # & Item 2 ghz Committee reported that appraisals N.E 5- were taken on the S.E. % and N.E. 5—43—264W4as suggested 43- "em by the lawyers. As yet, Mr. Hagemann's lawyer has not taken appraisal of this land, and it was decided to wait until July l5th, l96l, then take some action toward arbitration. This report was accepted on a motion by Councillor Owen. — Carried.

Freight Item $3) Mr. Jack Kerns attended the meeting Assisunne to discuss the present crop shortages. A letter was read which stated that a meeting was to be held in Red Deer July 18th at lO:OO a.m. to discuss this problem and that at least two members from the County Council, the Field Supervisor and District Agriculturist should attend.

Moved by Councillor Van Nest that the following attend this meeting: Chairman Davies, Councillor Reed, Councillor Skeels, and Steve Phalempin, Field Supervisor. — Carried.

Item 4 gay A letter reporting on Mrs. Babisky and Mrs. Bloxham was read to the Council. In Mrs. Babisky's case, her husband has returned home and therefore no allowance can be given. Mrs. Bloxham has been referred for Social Allowance.

K. A. Item 4 go) K. A. Lindsay had reported to the Lindsay Secretary that he could not find work and therefore needed help for at least one order. This report was accepted on a motion by Councillor Skeels. — Carried.

Isabell Item 4 gd) Isabell Chapin was discussed as to Chapin welfare and this was referred to Councillors Skeels and Van Nest to investigate on a motion by Councillor Reed. - Carried.

Maintain- Item g5; A tender received from Elmer Boettger er & for $70.00 for the tumblebug and $65.00 for the maintainer Tumblebug was accepted on a motion by Councillor Owen.

The only other bid was by Leonard Pfeiffer for an amount of $35.00 for the maintainer.

Annexa- Item 6 ga) Moved by Councillor Van Nest that tion SE the annexation of .81 acres more or less from 29—42—2—5S.E. 29—42—24N5to the Town of Rimbey be approved and this to be effective June 30th, 1961. — Carried.

H.Fisher Item 6 (b) A complaint from the Town of Rimbey 28—42—2 on the untidiness of the Henry Fisher property was discussed and, as he had promised the Council he would build a wooden fence around this property, a motion by Councillor Reed was,passed that Councillor Skeels and Councillor Van Nest take a letter to him and state that the fence shall be built. — Carried.

School Item 6 go} As land in 5% 29—42—2—W5was just Land — acquired and as Chester Rimbey used the land up to Rimbey acquisition and, as taxes are not payable on school lands, it was moved by Councillor Hunt that Chester Rimbey pay these taxes amounting to $10.56. — Carried Subdiv. Building Item Z go} Moved by Councillor Reed that Permit Council approve a building permit on Pt. S.E. 5—43—25—W4, S.E. 5- subject to the approval of the Town of Ponoka, and that 43—25:w4 the permit be sent to the Planning Commission for their approval. — Carried.

Boundary Item Q8} Moved by Councillor Owen that the Change boundary change in Range 5 explained by Mr. A. B. Wetter in his letter of June 29th, l96l, be approved except for Sections 9 and l6 which should be retained as Section l6- 42—54N5has school children living on it who attend our schools. — Carried.
