You can’t do all that bouncing and jumping like the young girls do,” she said. You’ve got to be in shape to clog in the group, but if you weren’t, it wouldn’t take long to get that way. Anderson said that when members practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays, they begin at 5:30 p.m. and keep at it for at least a couple of hours. “You work up to it. You start out slowly,” she said. “I’ve had cloggers that clogged 10 years ago, dropped out, and have come back. They can’t last a whole program, they forgot the name of the steps, but boy, they pick it up in a hurry and build up their energy level.” Ronald W.
